We were staying locally on holiday & popped in on our first night for some refreshment after our journey. Well what a excellent decision that was! The staff were friendly & welcoming, as were the pub regulars. The beer was well kept & food was (big shout out to the chefs & waitress's). Barry & Tanya your legends! Just had lunch here and I can't rate it highly enough! We're staying at a local campsite who recommended the pub. Husband popped in in advance because one of our dogs is a bit nervous of other dogs, so they tucked us in a corner out of the way. The service was too notch, we had menus in moments and the waitress came back to take our orders and delivered the drinks immediately. The food was almost as quick and was just lovely. Two fabulous roast dinners. Honestly couldn't recommend enough and will definitely visit again if we come back this way! I didn't eat food here, but came with a long time friend who lives locally to play pool over a couple of bevvies. Nice atmosphere, reasonably priced beers and ciders and friendly bar staff. A very enjoyable visit, was made to feel welcome by Barry and Steph behind the bar, thanks. well where to start?! INCREDIBLE. Me and my gang have had a torrid time with food in Cornywall so far this holiday but then we visited here. We were treated like celebrities and felt unbelievably welcome. The food was bussing and made us feel like fat piggies, AMAZING. We actually cried tears of joy on the way home because of how nicely we had been treated. BARRY our host was demure and tentative, having a drink with him would be a pleasure. OVERALL, best pub in Cornwall, bouncy atmosphere, Queen Lizzy was on wall which made me scared however but that's from my own beliefs hahaha. Defo reccomend, BILL O' BILL signing out ✌️ This pub, well i could say tones as i went 3days in a row i think 😆 The food was beyond amazing, such a menu for a village pub, their was alot to choice from (i really want to try the mac n cheese but just didnt get the chance to fit it in) the food was to the correct temps,quick service,clean,filling, i couldnt get enough. staff-friendly,welcoming,great workers. Locals-also people, i met so many people who was so open with their backgrounds and it was to learn about the life thats gone threw this Village. The music was great, you can even chose a sing for 50p, wasnt overly loud but you could hear it from most of the pub. Darts and snooker available and the tables are good. Smoking ares and just the general grounds was all clean which was nice. Id highly recommend this pub even if yur just driving threw and need a spot of lunch. So glad i chose to go this fantastic pub. Absolutely food and service can't recommend enough its a must if near Padstow area 💯👌👌 Stumbled across this old school pub in a quiet visit when looking for dinner whilst in the area. Staff were all very accommodating, and the service was great. Menu was full of proper home cooked meals. All our meals came quickly and were all lovely with no complaints. Very reasonable in cost as portions are huge. Well worth going off the beaten track to get good quality favourites.
