Lovely Sunday lunch Fabulous pub here in Long Marton. The Sunday Roast is one of the best I've ever had. Advisable to book if youre going on a Sunday. Do walk ins also. Dog friendly. Super , Pub gets busy which tells you how it is ! Great atmosphere in here. Had pate starter and Roast Beef dinner and it was lovely. Definitely recommended. If you're in the area you have to try it. You won't be disappointed. The Guinness is one of the best pints I've ever had. One word to sum this place up..... wow. I honestly don't get any of the negative reviews on here. We're not local and rugby was on and had no issue with any of the regulars and were very welcoming as were the staff.... As for the food.... OMG, kids portions would be suitable for a teenager let alone my 5 year old she went for fish and and enjoyed every bit of it. As for me I went for Ribeye steak with peppercorn sauce... the steak was so it felt criminal to use the peppercorn sauce but the sauce was on another level. The mushrooms were perfect as were the the only personal preference would be a more cooked tomato but where else could they improve if there wasn't something. Highly recommend one of the best steaks I've ever had. Dog friendly, both rooms and restaurant! Been visiting here for thirty-odd years and the new owners now let dogs come inside with their owners, great atmosphere, food and the are great. The Masons at Strawberry Bank has always been a pub, the dog attitude makes it even better! Breakfast is fantastic if you are an overnight guest and the rooms are quirky with great views! #dogfriendly #goodfood Outstanding. Sunday lunch was amazing. Chicken burger was value, the pie was tasty but was mainly filled with a watery gravy Would highly recommend for Pennine Way walkers looking for somewhere to stay nearby Dufton. Landlady is very welcoming and went the extra mile and more to accommodate my stay. Accommodation: recently renovated so it’s a high quality spec. Comfortable bed, hot revitalising shower, and very clean. Food: delicious meal with generous portion. This is a little gem and well worth a trip if you’re in the area. Exactly what you want from a country pub. I have stayed at lots of pubs, B&Bs and hostels as I head through the Pennine Way and this was the one place I really felt I had to leave a recommendation for others to check out. Sunday roast was perfect. Highly recommend the lamb. Price was great. The are polite and welcoming. Surrounding areas are stunning and perfect to walk off a full tummy of food. Will be back again. Stayed in Long Marton this weekend for our anniversary and the Masons was about a 5 min drive from the pod, rang in advance to book for food and the lady was super helpful. I got the meat feast pizza which was massive (didn’t think I’d finish but powered through) and the Mrs got a sriracha chicken burger, with salt and pepper fries to share. Very glad we went here for our anniversary meal as it was perfect! Warm, friendly, the service was excellent and very quick. are top notch, if we’re in the area again we’ll be sure to visit again. Many thanks! A really lovely country pub serving delicious food. We stopped on the way to center parcs and I was really impressed by the atmosphere, great service and lovely food. We had a burger, proper and the sticky beef noodle salad. Highly recommend! Super traditional village pub with terrific food. Recommend Meat pie and Fish and chips. Went a few weeks ago on a Friday night, was very quiet, but the beer was excellent and the food was sensational. I had the fish and and it was up there with one of the best I've ever had.
