This place is an incredible little hideaway! Myself and my two sons done two nights in a glamping pod, I was blown away by the value for money and how cosey the glamping pods were come a night time when you turned on the lights. The twinkling star lights made it super chilled and cosey. The unit within the pod with the kettle, toaster, microwave and cuttlery is a massive bonus, very handy to have. Pods were close by to the toilet and shower facilities, which were also in immaculate condition. They were very clean and modern. Pods were a short walk away from the main facilities, my boys took their scooters to get there most nights. Ths pool is incredible. Heated indoor and out and my two loved it. We were able to use it both days for around 3 hours each day! We had food in the bar, which was really good value for money, the pizzas were so good ! We all loved them. The softplay was a hit aswell as the park. The perfect location for a super chilled weekend. I'm again for April and can't wait to check out the surrounding areas when we are here for 5 days. The only complaint, which isn't about the site but was handled very well by staff was that on the first night of our stay some other guests were extremely loud throughout the night, very disrespectful to others staying especially those with kids. Staff were informed the following morning and were aware of the situation and were happy to see to those involved. It's a must visit from us and we can't wait to come back. Just returned from Wild Rose in Cumbria, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay with 2 adults and 3 x under 5's. The caravan was clean and cosy, and the facilities and entertainment were very good for the little ones. The pool was thoroughly enjoyed and clean. I wanted to leave a review to especially shout out the staff at the cafe and the restaurant. They we're amazing with children and so friendly and went out of their way to help us on numerous occasions. Especially the ladies at the cafe, and the staff in the bar. They made the stay wonderful for us. The prices throughout are very fair which we also appreciated. If I had to pick a couple of things it would be better if there was a footpath beside the roads and if there were lamps in the caravan, but just small things. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. We came back for our second visit after loving the first one last year. We upgraded our this time after seeing lovely adverts and social media posts of the new Autograph lodged on site. Spent a bit more than we usually would on our weekends away but knew the site and all the facilities. Unfortunately after arriving we were placed in a that looked nothing like what we had booked. It was totally different - no where near the same standard or worth what we had paid this year, especially when compared to last years price. We chatted to reception who said they were fully booked. The people staying in the 3 lodges that looked like the advert pictures had already arrived and they were unable to move us. Safe to say we were disappointed - I’d had an already pretty bad day and was looking forward to our trip. Out of hours number was really helpful and advised us to talk to the manager tomorrow. Unfortunately- once again there was nothing they could do. They said it was the same standard and lodged may differ from pictures. While I understand this - the comparison from what we compared to what we were placed in is totally different. Yes it had 2 bedrooms, a hot tub and a dishwasher. But funnily enough I don’t tend to book accommodation based on dishwashers - it didn’t matter how many times the receptionist told me about the dishwasher! (Which funnily enough you couldn’t even open the door of without moving furniture around!) The accommodation was basic. One double room with no character and a tiny twin room. Again- the one we had had two same size rooms so that we could use the travel cot for our child. We were unable to do this in the we were placed in. The sofa was disgusting and covered in stains - reception offered us a blanket to put over it…hardly the point. The was also dog hairy - we had hooked no pet accommodation. The hot tub surround was covered in green algae, with no outdoor lighting and next to the car parks of other lodges. Also straight on the path back form the bar - didn’t really want everyone walking past drunk at kick out time watching me in the hot tub. The we had had a more secluded decking area. I could go on but I’ve been through it all both with Harrison holidays and hoseasons. I’ve been told it can take up to 28 days to resolve a complaint. Even though hoseaons have admitted it has been falsely advertised. Pictures attached show what we vs what we got. Went to the wild rose with my wife and 3 kids and we had an absolute blast. Our caravan was a signature 3 and was a stone throw away from the swimming pool as you can see from the above photo. Food was great and everyone so helpful and friendly. Will definitely be back.
