Darn Walk, Bridge of Allan

A great with a nice trail to explore from this can be assessed long or as short a wander as you want although I recommend at least making it to the cave as the views are peaceful and it's an interesting point. Some parts of the path are a little bit slippy and some maintenance is needed but should be ok for most levels of walkers. Parking isn't in a car park and starts from Bridge of Allan alongside the street or further back in the town for a proper car park. Great walk,easy slight incline . Lovely along the river and through woodland, everything a dog could want all in one walk. The footpaths are good but not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs and can also gey very muddy. You can use this as part of a longer or as its own smaller walk, there are lots of ways of creating a circular or it can be a there and back walk. Beautiful. We followed the path but after a while we took the big metal bridge over the river. We headed back along the other side of the riverbank until we took a 2nd metal bridge over the railway line. It wasn't too long before we were back in the village. A good length walk. Not sure how long but definitely over an hour at a gentle pace.
