This is a good visitor attraction with accessibility. There is a car about 15 minutes from the Kelpies. About 5 minutes is a paid car park. For Disabled access with reduced mobility there is very limited beside the visitor centre. The Kelpies are great. Would love to keep coming back under different lighting conditions to see the reflections in the metal and water pools. The visitor centre has a gift shop, looks and a cafe selling hot drinks and sandwiches. What an amazing piece of art! There is no way you can pass this attraction by when in the area. It is literally to around the to take in these metal sculptures. There a few places to within walking distance. The first lot is and the closer one for a price. It is very impressive to up to these horses. Their size make them easy to find and the singular path will take you to them. There are several food stands on site and a visitor center to learn all about them. You can go inside the sculptures during open hours - keeping in mind you can the grounds any time. The Cafe and Visitors centre was also very good. The Sausage Rolls in the cafe were something special and the coffee was nice. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Amazing all round. With the scale of this artwork, you have to see it up close to really the Kelpes. It is definitely a stop The car is well managed and a good, paved away from the art, which helps maintain the aesthetics. WCs are available, as well as a small cafe. Drones are currently allowed at this site, if you have the correct certifications. Watch your step around the statues when taking photos, or you could end up with a wet foot or worse What an incredible piece of art, architecture and engineering, The Kelpies are really stunning from both far away and close up, the details are and they are easy to get to and at as you travel through, they are definitely a stop! The main car is payable, but a car a little further away is free. Absolutely stunning! I sat in awe at the time and effort that went into fabricating these horses. We went at dusk so they were lit up and they looked amazing. Helix has been built around them and the canal lock has been integrated into them to let the water and boats pass through. You can go inside them and there are information boards on how they were constructed. There is a café next to them and you can around the which has the canal running around it. I thought they were brilliant. If you enjoy art and big projects you should definitely go. Get place to stop and have a walk. Car not but it as you could be there for a few hour. Wasn't really that busy on Saturday the 19th of April 2025,although the car was pretty full it really didn't feel like it was over crowded. We only over to have a look at the Kelpies and the up to the park. Really lovely plenty to see for everyone and disabled access everywhere. It's a place for walking your dogs and the first car is free, if you want to closer it's just a little cost around £3.50 Such an impressive sight -You have to pay to and there are toilets at the car - A short down to the main attraction and there are more toilets in the main visitor center and some vendors selling hot and cold treats. Lot to explore and highly recommended to once you are the area. Just off the M9 at Grangemouth Falkirk the Kelpies were well the diversion. and a short and you are overawed by the scale and personality evident in each of these water horses. Plenty of views to keep children looking and a playpark nearby. Good accessibility to all areas with some bridges and small steps to watch out for as your gaze will be upwards! Make a half day with a picnic or stop at one of the food outlets which fit most tastes and ages. No real protection from the wind and rain as the site is in a flat area. The Kelpies statue is something else - words just cannot describe. It's a must site if you are to Scotland. Cannot recommend enough. We visited here after the Falkirk wheel (another must see). We travelled on a day trip from Suffolk just the 14 hour 800 mile round trip and was well the visit. Amazing structures and can appreciate the effort that went into making these a landmark for miles. Open space for walking along the canal. Pictures or take advantage of the cafe, ice cream van, tea/coffee van or even grab a hot dog. Suggest going late in the day so you can see them after sunset. Excellent stopover in the car if you’re heading north for the NC500. They look amazing in the dark as they have lights inside them. Out of the blue, The Kelpies majestically rise up and shine like a beacon in the night. We found the best time to was right on dusk as the fading light highlighted The Kelpies in an ever changing light. Then, they ‘switched on’ and we saw them in a whole new light! A must see attraction. The Kelpies are an awe-inspiring sight—truly a stunning example of modern sculpture and a powerful tribute to Scotland’s industrial and mythical heritage. The scale and detail are breathtaking, especially when seen up close, and the surrounding parkland makes for a lovely walk. However, the on-site café was a bit of a letdown; the coffee felt overpriced for the quality offered. That said, the overall is still well it—just maybe grab your caffeine fix elsewhere beforehand. A must see sight when visiting the Falkirk area. These amazing sculptures are incredible to see. They dominate the surrounding in their size and are a truly beautiful spectacle. Nearby, you’ve got the stunning sights of Helix to explore. is available and even though it was busy, there were ample spaces. There are a number of food choices at the Kelpies for a spot of lunch looking out onto the sculptures. Further, there is a fantastic gift shop with a range of Scottish gifts. We came in a motorhome it's £3.50 for a car but £6 for a motorhome. Which i thought was a bit expensive. Moving quickly on. The Kelpies themselves are magnificent, a testament to the sculptor, absolutely stunning. A short distance away is the Falkirk Wheel. A testament to design and engineering, £4 for all vehicles. So a little better price wise. But still £10 for both, realistically you dont stay very long at either. I'm glad we came though, that's another off the list. Fan flippin tastic! Defo going back when the wind isn't so bad and the rain isn't horizontal, unfortunately we went at the tail end of storm Bram, the mane thing was we saw them!
