My wife, daughter and I went here for lunch a few months ago and we thoroughly enjoyed it. It was the best lunch I have had in a long time! There was a bit of wait to get a table but thankfully we didn’t go somewhere else as it was worth the wait. The staff were pleasant and the restaurant was attractive and clean looking with shelving in the middle selling interesting bits and bobs. For food I went with the lunch special of open toast with roast lamb, roast potatoes, mint mayo and gravy which came with salad and homemade crisps. This tasted as good as it sounded. I love it! My lips are salivating even thinking about it. The homemade crisps were amazing as well and a very nice touch. We ordered a tuna and cheese baked potato for the little one which was well cooked. The skin was just how I liked and our girl seemed to enjoy it. My wife got the breaded haddock bagel which she also gave high praise of. I got a side of halloumi fries which were a quite a large portion much to my liking. For drinks we got a hot chocolate and a mango smoothie. Both were nice. We took away a couple of sweet treats which also hit the spot! Overall, a fantastic lunch which we were very satisfied with! It’s worth noting that prices were on the slightly expensive side but I don’t mind paying for something pricey that is this good. Dog friendly breakfast venue that opens at 8am with excellent coffee and lovely, friendly staff, along with a fabulous view. Waffles with crispy bacon and maple syrup was excellent, as was my wife's Granola bowl which had the lightest greek yoghurt, almost like it was whipped! Thoroughly recommend LOVELY! Where to begin... to describe how beautiful this B&B is? First of all, it is right on the seafront, which is always very pleasant. It is housed in a charming historic building. Despite this, the interiors have been tastefully restored with attention to the “Modern Cozy Coastal” style. The rooms are very large, as is the bathroom. An extra coat hook would have been useful... but there is no shortage of space. The beds are large and comfortable. There is also a lovely spacious outdoor area, with tables and benches. The perfect place to enjoy the sea ;-) You can choose whether or not to have breakfast here, but the Café is very inviting, as are its culinary offerings. The location is also interesting, in the quiet village of Limekilns, a 40-minute drive from Edinburgh Airport. But the icing on the cake is always the human factor: extremely friendly and helpful staff! If you arrive outside the Cafe's opening hours, you can access the B&B via a very easy self-check-in system. It is important to note that for those with mobility issues, there are several flights of stairs to access the rooms... So: suitable for many, but not for everyone... Been, many times, for breakfast and lunch. Always 1st class. Food as is service. Restaurant is riusticly beeautiful with outside seating, also available. The location, Limekilns waterfront is stunning. Highly recommend. What a spot! I was flying out a day later than my companions and needed something for just a night. Coorie by the Coast was above expectations. Lovely room and cafe below. Very nice to walk the Limekilns promenade. It was also easy to get to Dunfermline to see the Abbey and palace. Stopped for a coffee and cake. Service was very fast and friendly,coffee and cakes were fresh and delicious. Sat outside as weather was gorgeous. Beautiful views so had a lovely experience at Comrie by the coast. Highly recommend this place. Perfect location, room was beautiful with plenty of places for storing clothes etc. Bathroom gorgeous, we had a view out front too and the room had lots of nice touches like hot chocolate, tunnocks chocolate bars and actually nice tea bags! Rare for a hotel room. It was also immaculate. Stairs to the rooms are steep though and street parking is really bad, and we had an insanely noisy neighbour who was blasting a space documentary all night. No phone number to call and no reception desk to get help, I had to sleep with ear plugs and over head headphones on top. I did contact someone through Instagram and they responded quickly and the noise stopped. I can't believe it took that though, I was knocking on the door of our neighbour repeatedly and they just ignored me, the most rude neighbour I've ever had in a hotel. That's the only thing with staying in places like this, when it's it's but when you need help in the night there isn't someone on a reception desk you can call. Cafe downstairs is lovely and very dog friendly which is great. Only true negative for us was the neighbour, but that is an unfortunate thing that hopefully wouldn't happen again. It would be much better if there was a phone number you could call in instances like this though. I would highly highly recommend this place and definitely stay there again, the location is so peaceful and the rooms are perfect Visited the cafe for brunch. Weather was so we sat outside which enhanced the experience. Bacon, Brie & chilli jam and a haggis & chilli jam toasties which were delicious. All washed down with soft and hard drinks. Staff were lovely and all reasonable priced. Parking could be a bit of a challenge when this place is busy. Definitely recommend for food or just a coffee and cake.
