I have been here numerous times over the past 7 years to get ice and it is always wonderful and scrumptious. One of the best ice stores around the area . They sell bottled water for .50 here too which is cheap . I love the ice in the glasses too they are incredible delicious.They stay open late too which is good if you want a late night . We were in Pompeii to visit the ruins, and afterward we walked to the square to visit the church, and I saw this ice shop. I'm glad we stopped, ice cream, similar prices to ice shops in Naples (I worried it would be overpriced, but no!). The staff was friendly, the flavors were great, and I loved the pistachio. The water bottles are only 0.50€ (as of June 2025). Plus, they put chocolate on the bottom part of the of the ice cream! 😍 it was the only ice where we had that option, delicious! I love the at this shop!! Every flavor I tried was amazing! I was only in the area for a few days, but I visited this every day! I highly recommend it if you are in the area. Good place after a long day at Pompei. Very creamy and made to perfection! If you are vegetarian, do ask for flavours without egg as some flavours have egg in them. They do have other food items apart from like caffe crema and other coffee and bakery items. A must try chain in Italy😋 We tried their vegan with coffee and strawberry flavour. On our trip throughout Italy we were on a mission to find the best gelato…this was our number one! From the customer service to the flavor, this small was fantastic! We had pistachio, passion fruit and red fruits…each one to die for! On our next trip to Pompei, Gioelia will be a stop!!! The ice itself was great. But, unfortunately, as some other English speakers have found, the service of the ladies (on two occasions) was rude, unhelpful, and unprofessional. They seemed offended by our presence, maintained a disgusted expression throughout serving, and talked to each other in Italian in front of us — very clearly making mocking remarks. They also made a big fuss about paying by card, when it’s clearly a payment method that they accept. By other reviews, the attitude of these particular ladies seems to be a longstanding issue, which still hasn’t been addressed by the owner. Hopefully, this will be taken more seriously, as it taints the experience of an otherwise great store. The best ice I have tasted in my entire life, a lot of flablos and cheap. You should go there without exceptions!!
