A nice place with free parking... didn't even know this place existed or that oswestry ever had a race course. Good for walking with or without dogs, some great and very much quiet and undiscovered feeling. Nice free open common with plenty of footpaths into adjoining woods. Fantastic from the top. The smell of the bluebells at the moment is lovely. Great place for a family not too long at about 1.5 miles. Has lots of dog walkers. Best time to visit is during the week as gets quite busy at weekend. We take our dog here alot, as it's a great place for them to explore & run-around. You've the green area to along which is the old Racecourse itself with stunning but there's also some fantastic woods to enjoy. The woods & walking trails are our favourite but quite hilly in places with some beautiful along the way. Picnic tables. Free car park. Very beautiful, unspoiled area, great for walking and on a good day take a picnic because you'll want to stay longer. This historic old racecourse site is a nice place to with or without dogs. A free car park adjoins the site. Lots of trees and heath like grasslands and the potential for a much longer if you head in to the heavily wooded area as the path there connects with others. Peaceful most of the time, it is popular so can get people busy. Beautiful display of bluebells through the woods at that time of the year. Mainly flat terrain but it can get very muddy. Going back to walking the dog there are dog mess bins. If you have a dog the downside is that in parts the road is nearby so you need to keep an eye on your dog to prevent a potential accident. Excellent with lovely views. Ideal for dog walking. Plenty of parking available. A scenic location with easy parking. - On a good day, there are down over the surrounding area. - Plenty of options starting at very easy levels - great place to take a dog Beautiful place to with the dog! It's a shame other owners don't always pick up after their dogs, so be careful where you step. Otherwise it's an absolutely brilliant walk! Lots of birdsong too :) Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
