It’s a nice stroll through to see the many creations. We spent about an hour but could’ve spent twice as long if we saw and read about every creation. Note The signs are a bit political in places, such as around the environment, anti-war, limiting screen time for kids, or teaching Chinese. It didn’t bother me, but was surprising. There is also a large shop onsite, with a mixture of creative ironwork crafts, holiday, and other home goods. Nice cafe and toilets onsite. You could tell the coronation chicken was homemade, it was delicious! Brilliant for all the family. After starting our day off with the early bird ticket (i would recommend the early bird ticket so you've got a full day here) we enjoyed a breakfast in the cafe. My 3 boys, my partner and myself all loved the trails and treasure hunt thats provided, and explored every space there is here hunting for the answers meaning we got to see all the and clever sculptures. Once we got back we enjoyed a hot chocolate and a slice of a nice rocky pad cake in the outside cafe. My 2 youngest boys enjoyed the park where my eldest lad enjoyed looking at how and what the were made of that were in the outside canopy area. We then looked around the shop and collected our rewards for completing the treasure hunts. Overall it was a day full of fun, amazement and laughter, we spent all day here and would highly recommend it for anyone. It was truly a trip. Me and my family absolutely loved seeing the sculptures! They weren't just magnificent, they were amazing, innovative and I loved how symbolic the pieces were. There were so many to see and the facts they held too was fascinating to learn. Even though it was raining, we still had a brilliant time. We wish you the best and want to say thanks for having us. What an amazing, and not too expensive day out with the early bird tickets. We were truly taken back by the creativity of some of the sculptures. The time and effort that has gone in to each and every one, was honestly outstanding. It’s a really good day out, even if you “sculptures” aren’t really your thing! There is also a really cafe and shop and as we came round to the end, there was also a man playing some music and singing, his voice was gorgeous! The only downside we found, was the walking between some of the with a little one. Towards the end, he got quite bored and the walking was tiring for him. This is something that can’t really be helped and I should think most 6 year olds would be the same after an hour or so of walking. day out otherwise, would definitely recommend!!! What a place!! So much fun, even on a cloudy day. My 7 year old loved it. Cafe was and had a live singer who had a voice. Only 2 small things I would say about the cafe is the scones are huge so really need a bigger plate and more butter and the cake selection was very much chocolate and biscoff, would be to see some refreshing citrus sponges. I dont like chocolate cakes so was very hard to chose something. Cappuccino and flat white were lush. What an place! This was our first visit and we had such a fantastic time. So many sculptures, lots of info to read and get the kids talking about important social and environmental topics, friendly staff and delicious food. We loved it and will definitely be back! Today I was a Visitor, I have worked at the Ironworks for 5 months & have not had a chance to take advantage of this very special place. As I was annual leave I took full advantage & took my Pup Bailey for a few hours . It did not disappoint 2 & a half hours of walking , enjoying the Sculptures, finally trying the yummy food . So glad I got to do this , it’s given me a better insight into a truly place. As I work on the Welcome Desk I can now fully appreciate & pass my knowledge onto the customer’s.
