Very cozy and nice restaurant with lovely staff, very close to Ogmore by Sea beach and in front of the ruins of Ogmore Castle. The food options that we had weren’t amazing for the price but maybe other options were better. I’d probably go back again and try. There’s seating outside so perfect for a sunny day! I had seen a review on another site for the Pelican Inn and had to try it for myself. The food and location didn't disappoint. 10/10 for everything. There are some nice walks around here so take your dog with you and they have a dog-friendly half of the pub too. We can't wait to go back . Called in on the way to an afternoon stroll on Ogmore beach. What a great choice! We both chose from the very reasonably-priced lunch-time menu that had plenty of options. The food was promptly served, piping hot and delicious. The service was excellent. We couldn't help overhearing a seemingly awkward customer complain about 'fishy-smelling' eggs! The waitress was really professional and ever so polite and accommodating, replacing the whole meal. We had no complaints, just praise, and will definitely return. Lovely This pub is on the side of the road going to / coming back from ogmore by sea loverly little place we was seated even though it was busy and we had not booked had a pleasant meal and a couple of pints in a nice clean environment. Staff was and quick with the orders we went in winter but it was several tables outside of you did wish to sit out quite busy but well run little pub. Would definitely go again. Nice pub and dog friendly. Staff were great, as was the service. The food was ok. We were a large party, and the food came out hot and prompt, although the onion rings were dripping in oil, and the chicken sharer was dry and seemed overcooked or stored under a heat lamp. Lamb roulade was 10/10..best food I've had in a long time Morning coffee! Well laid out bar and restaurant.professional staff Supports illegal fox hunting. Drove past just now and they were hosting a fox hunt meet. Stopped for lunch today. I had the tastiest vegetarian burger ever. Spinach and lentil burger came with big chips, coleslaw and onion rings. Really good meals. Also very dog Took advantage of the two meals from favourites menu for £20. Wow. Couldn't fault. Probably the best beef lasagne I have ever had. My husbands gammon egg and chips, supberb. Everyone needs to try this fantastic offer. You will not be disappointed. Thank you . Stopped off for some lunch. Good main food selection and staff and attentive. Could do with more lunch choices i.e sandwiches/salads. Also very cold in the bar area, left our coats on for the duration. Stopped in for some food after a long walk, staff were lovely and welcoming, very friendly. Had a starter of smoked mackerel and main of cow pie, both were delicious and the main was a good portion and very filling. All in all very nice place and well worth a visit if you’re thirsty or hungry. Also dog so gets extra 🌟 Went for a drink in the sunshine but decided to stay for food! Especially after seeing those around us eating. Dbl Chick burger - amazing. stacked high! Tasty. Fresh. Perfect. Like the coleslaw!! Jalfrezi curry - excellent. Hadn’t had a good curry in a while! Smelled nice. Tasted great. Big portions. Stuffed!! lol Then sat in the sun, with a drink, discussing what we just had! Thank you.
