Nel complesso ben organizzato ed ottimo per famiglie con bambini. Absolutely stunning place to visit. The garden is incredibly beautiful when you can meet white peacock and other animals. There is a mini zoo with pets. Children's playground and place to eat with a beautiful view of the lake. Entrance costs €20 per adult and child. Parking is located opposite the and is free. Expensive but worth it for cuddling with a goat Villa Pallavicino is located on the outskirts of Stresa and dates back to the 19th century when it was built for the politician Ruggero Borghi. It was extended just a year after its construction and then passed into the ownership of the Duke of Villombrosa before finally being purchased by Marquis Ludovico Pallavicino of Genova. Marquis Pallavicino extended the grounds and gave the villa the look it still has today. The zoological was opened to the public in 1954 and both the villa and are still owned by the Pallavicino family. As you enter the you will pass a splendid series of archways created with cypress trees, as well as wonderful magnolia trees. In the natural amphitheatre which surrounds the villa there is a magnificent Lebanon Cedar and all round the lawns are Rhododendrons, camellias and azaleas. In the old greenhouses the gardeners cultivate numerous exotic species of plants. The zoological is situated in the gardens and as well as zebras, llamas, wallabies, prairie dogs, parrots, toucans and much more you can stand just a few steps from beautiful deer. The villa is not open to the public. It takes about 1½ hours to visit the zoo and gardens. There is a cafe, a souvenir shop and a children's play area. The Villa Pallavicino is located on the lakefront about 10 minutes walk from Stresa ferry station. The walk is on along a pavement/sidewalk all the way. Beautifil Garden and Park. A piece of paradise on the shores lake Maggiore. The place is beautiful, well kept and interesting. There is a petting zoo which is big and diverse that includes even alpakas. The flowers garden is amazing in April (when we visited), blooming and colorful. The kids playground has several options that can keep the kids busy for at least half an hour. The cafeteria in nice, with a small menu and reasonable prices for parks. Walking along the paths in the feels like in a fairytale. The flowers, the steams and waterfalls, the brideges and the are set together wonderfully. We enjoyed it and spend 2 hours without even noticing. There is a roomy parking outside (we didn't come on a weekend). Villa Pallavicino is an impressive Botanic located in the outskirt of Stresa overlooking Lago Maggiore. It is a MUST to visit in Lago Maggiore area. The offers not only a spectacular garden but also a small open air zoo. Definitely recommended !!
