Visited on the 19th Oct 2025 The bay stretches for quite a while and even though it can get busy with divers, swimmers and people enjoying all kinds of sports, you can still easily find a spot for yourself and have a great time. The color of the is incredible! It's vibrant turquoise with blue and green shades and it's crystal clear. We've rented a pedal boat (€25/hr) and it was well worth it as you can easily explore the area while jumping into the crystal clear blue water. There's also a sandy beach, free shower and toilets, big free parking place,a snack bar and gear rental shops. ABSOLUTELY WORTH VISITING whether just for a picture, a quick swim or a whole day of diving or sunbathing. I have added this missing point on google maps after i got the exct coordination from our airbnb host which he was a local fisherman, now the place is public to everyone, We have seen 4 turtle directly on our first visit we spent half day snorkelling in this area. Great snorkelingplace and a big change to see turtle. we went two times, one in the morning and we saw schools of barracuda and the second time in the afternoon and saw the turtle. visibility was fantastic I guess 40+m. Also good for beginner divers as calm shallow waters. Gets busy with locals at weekends. Really a lovely place to snorkel or scuba dive; if you’re proficient or go with a local scuba diving company. You can drive all the way to the very outer point of the bay. This feels wrong almost with how beautiful the scenery is. We managed it in a tiny hire car fine. Most of the scuba diving groups use the initial bay on your immediate left at turtle bay point. I assume this is because of ease and safety of entry. Me and my wife used the next bay along to snorkel. It was completely empty but much harder to get to the safely, as there are a number of jagged and slippery rocks. We didn’t see any turtles, but this didn’t cause us to enjoy snorkelling there any less. It was our first time snorkelling also. Everyone promised us if you come in right time and right month. We did all that and no turtle in sight, but is still nice, you can also find underwater sculptures. Personally I think there are better beaches tho:) Beautiful area. We didn’t see any turtles, but saw plenty of fish and it was still so worth it. The is so salty you can float in it easily and simply look down with a snorkel. We used the second bay rather than the first as that’s where all the scuba divers were, which was a bit busy for us. Very calm waters, be careful climbing on the rocks. It isn’t hard but some of them are sharp. Overall it was incredible. Great place to go snorkeling. Clear waters, 'hidden underwater city', and maybe if you're lucky. Great place for snorkelling and scuba diving If you look carefully you can for sure find a Turtle not too far from the shore. However there is no place to put your towels, so I recommend only coming for snorkeling and then going back to the where you park the car Amazingly beautiful place and very fortunate to see 2 in the morning. Lovely coffee at the shack there too. But must say we were very disappointed in the amount of rubbish/litter around the bay.
