A more touristy place, though a bit further in town there are small patisseries with a smaller but very tasty treats. The staff is friendly. It's a pity about all the parrots in cages; it makes you want to set them free. Came to try some baklava to this classic patisserie /confectionery beside the walls of the old city of Famagusta. They have a huge of cakes, chocolates, pasties, and sweets. They also do breakfasts. The interior is very nice,and they do have some traditional decorations on the walls. I found the baklava a bit pricey, we paid 9 euro for 4 pieces. We had a wonderful breakfast at Petek Pastahanesi with my wife. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxed morning. The variety of breakfast options was impressive, and everything we tried was fresh and delicious. The staff was friendly and attentive, making our experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a good breakfast spot. Beautiful pastry shop. We admired the really wonderful desserts, cakes, sweets. The precision, great work. Just by looking at those creations, I would taste them all. We ended up only taking a croissant, which was really huge. Full of amazing chocolate. He was just great. This is such a beautiful patisserie in Famagusta in the old town. We had lunch in the restaurant upstairs, which was busy when we arrived, but the service was quick. Plenty of seating, upstairs has a lovely view. Waiters we're prompt and the food was delicious. Very reasonably priced too. They have over 50+ main courses to choose from. Their desserts/pastries variety is even bigger. Petek had the most beautiful and cozy atmosphere. We sat for hours just eating and relaxing by the fireplace. I 100% reccommend their turkish food selection. Their breakfasts portion are huge and a must try. You are guaranteed authentic flavor and spices. Little tip: don't expect flavor with their Italian pasta dishes, they came very bland but that's how turkish usually eat their food. Petek Pastanesi is located at the opposite of Desdomona Park in the old town of Famagusta. The prices are reasonable, the atmosphere is good, the people are very friendly and quick at the service. If you are visiting the place in winter you can sit by the fireplace or if it is summer and you do not want to be seated under the a/c you can use the top floor which has a nice breeze and a beautiful wiev of the St. Nicholas Cathedral. There are many options of cakes, puddings, Turkish delight and many more that I cannot name it now. My favorite is 'Asure' and baklavas. If you have not tried yet go for it. You will LOVE IT!!!
