Beautiful ruins near the sea This Google location tag is misleading. There is nothing in the Salamis Forest—just a field with grass and several trees. There is no ancient city there. The ancient city is located 2.5 km away from the Salamis Forest. A nice and interesting window in the islands history. If you are in the area it is a must-see and afterwards you can relax a few hours on the wonderful and relaxing beach. Historical, beautiful, 50 liras entrance fee, there is a small shop with fresh juices and sandwiches etc, me and my family loved the place, worth the Very interesting archeological site. Great place to and learn about the Salamis gymnasium, baths and theatre. It was a fantastic experience. The entrance fee is 50 lira. The is vast, and I spent a little less than two hours exploring the designated route, which ensured I didn’t get lost. The well-marked path made it easy to navigate through the impressive ruins. One of the highlights was the informative signage throughout the site. Instead of just looking at piles of rocks, I gained a deeper understanding of what I was seeing, which really enhanced my visit. There is a beach where you can rent umbrellas and chairs. It’s the perfect spot to cool off after wandering through the site. If you are visiting in the summer, make sure to wear a hat and comfortable shoes, applying sunscreen, bring an umbrella, mini portable fan, and water. Always awesome to see new places, that’s way I’m here for 🥰 This was really fun to visit! It cost 50 lira to enter, we had the place almost to ourselves, beautiful history, well maintained, easy to walk around for all age groups. It's such a place to visit. I'm not sure what exactly this location is highlighting but the only thing at this spot is bare land with several shrubs. Affresco di Salamis is the ancient ruin site, which is awesome. You must go there. Do not waste your time trying to Salamis Forest.
