We visit it in the off season when it was not crowded, so maybe another deal when more tourist are in town. We were missing a place with crafted beers and read a poster outside that offered different IPA‘s and other more „exotic“ beers. Unfortunately half of them were not in stock as advertised. The waitress was sweet enough to bring out the bottles she had to our table to pick from instead. You pay of course the extra prize for these special beers and see yourself with a bill of 12€ for two bottled beers. Later at 10 was the music. A young irish guy was singing cover songs. is always a question of taste, so will not rate this. We were not big fans since he missed quite a lot of tunes and had some funny versions of very popular songs. We left soon after he started. But again - question of taste and does not influence my rating here. What left a negative vibe were the two young men that were working as bar promoter in front of the place. Watching them made clear they were not very into their work or at it. They were very aggressively approaching people walking by to make them come in. But not in a nice way. I would feel very attacked and would have not gone into if they would have done that with us. They kept on commenting and making faces or gestures about the people that denied them and just passed. Very rude and unprofessional way of working. Why I am putting this into my review? Because it was clearly to see for me as a guest and made me feel uncomfortable and gave me a bad feeling about this place. Paddy's is a very fun bar, I normally don't go for music, but the musician is really and also very charismatic, it was really great! There are lots of bars and clubs with people trying to pressure you to go into their place. A nice, typical Irish place, with music, acceptable but could be better. The got a 3 only because there weren't that many people in due to the time of year. Reckon it would be rammed in September. Went here last year Guinness was been back tonight and the Guinness was awful. Complained to the manager he went mad saying the glasses weren't dirty and the Guinness was good. Only drank half and left. As an Irish guy living abroad, I have to say Paddy’s feels like a little piece of home. My wife, our wee lad, and I drop by quite often, it’s always a atmosphere. We stumbled upon it one evening and ended up coming back three nights in a row. The cocktails are honestly some of the best we've had on the island. What really made the experience stand out was the music. The singer performing those nights was incredible, super talented! You could tell he was passionate about what he was doing, and the crowd felt it too. The whole vibe was just so and relaxed! Locals, tourists, everyone singing along and enjoying the night. Paddy’s isn’t trying too hard to impress, it just is a place, and that’s what makes it special. Definitely one of our favourite spots in Ayia Napa.
