Overall, I'd say the food was excellent. Unusual for a Turkish place to be popular for drinks and desserts, but they seem to get a lot of folk in for it. The halloumi was supposed to come with a pomegranate dressing (and it certainly needed it), but maybe they ran out of it. The beef koftes were nice with garlic dip. Lovely chips and marinated grilled chicken. I had the sweet chicken with some lovely rice. Their version of the apple pie wasn't really tart enough, but it is hard to get right due to personal preference. I'd say the cream would make it sweeter, so make it more tart. However, the rice was pudding was divine. Excellent restaurant serving a mixture of British & Turkish cuisine. We tried a Turkish starter & 2 Turkish mains. All were very tasty. The service was & efficient. Thoroughly recommended. Lovely Turkish meal which tasted amazing. Portion size I thought was small but ended up being just right. Lovely dining area, clean everywhere. Was quiet though on a mid week lunchtime oy to be expected I suppose. Owner was there and super friendly. Recommended. What a great village asset, lovely pub and even better restaurant run by a nice team. selection of beers and wines and a fantastic menu of Turkish and English dishes cooked to perfection. Has beef starter course and beef main course -really enjoyed both. Made a point of calling in whilst in the area, only wish I could leave more than 5 stars for service, the waiter was so and attentive. The food was also and cooked fresh. Definitely on my list to visit again. Wow what can we say. Such a warm welcome on a Thursday lunch time. The Turkish food was exceptional, but there plenty of choice for everyone. The home made baklava and Turkish coffee is also a must. We cannot wait to visit again. 4 of us went for Sunday lunch and thoroughly enjoyed our meal they also provided a baby chair for us. The food was presented very well and of quality. My lamb was delicious, and my wife's beef was equally as good. My Sons partner had the chicken, and I think I will try that next time as it looked really nice as well. We had 3 cheesecakes and 1 apple pie for dessert all homemade and can't put into words how delicious they were. I will definitely be coming back to the greyhound again. Stopped by chance at this pub/restaurant but so glad we did. The food choice and presentation was really as was the flavours! The staff were really and helpful. Would definitely recommend this place for somewhere to eat.( & we're both fussy eaters and hard to please) Took a drive to the white horse at Kilburn and stopped at the Greyhound at Bagby. Had we been 30 mins earlier we would not have got a table as they get booked up on a Sunday. The pub is tastefully decorated and cosy, the food was well presented, high quality and very tasty! We had the deep fried brie to start and roast dinners (one pork one beef) the service was and attentive. They care a lot about their customers which gets my vote! we'll definitely be calling in again on our next visit to Kilburn to scale the white horse - worth doing if your fit enough, otherwise drive to the airfield at the top and walk across to the head of the horse! Stunning views of God's County Poor exceedingly slow service. Staff had to be reminded about various requests! Considerably over priced. Rice served on COLD side plates. Lemon posset was grainy not smooth & creamy as is expected. Vegetable served well after the main dish had arrived! All in all NOT TO BE RECOMMENDED. Lovely freshly decorated pub/restaurant. Plenty of space between tables in the restaurant area with some seating outside. Really friendly, helpful staff and lovely food. So nice to have a selection of traditional English staples with a mix of Turkish choices to tempt the taste buds. We were staying close by for a few days so decided to try here on our way home from Whitby. The pub is dog which is always a bonus. The welcome from the owner was fantastic and he couldn’t do enough for us and our 2 dogs. The menu is excellent with something for everyone, with a selection of veggie options. I had the koftas and my wife had the lamb casserole both of which were excellent. Highly recommended Just had sunday lunch here. Excellent I had the lamb and my friend had the pork. Very tasty, excellently presented, very portions. Can't wait to go back in September when we are next here. Staff excellent 👏 very polite and very efficient nothing was too much trouble they were a pleasure. The manager was also very nice and very on the ball excellent experience. Place itself was immaculately clean. Very happy. Very selection of food.
