My 8 and 12 had a fantastic day. We visited on one of the offer weekends, and the queues weren't that bad. Overall the is fantastic for young children. Food was reasonable priced for a theme park. Lovely theme aimed at under 12s. There were of and things to do. Both my 9 and 14 year old it. Waiting was anywhere between 0-10 mins (for the aimed at the ones) and 30 mins (on the faster rides) Overall a experience. We recently visited for my sons 4th birthday (July 2025) for little ones it's brilliant. Loads of smaller for them and so many parks for them to play. We took a packed lunch so didn't use the food on offer but the prices looked what you could expect for a theme park. Some of the could do with an upgrade as they have been there since I visited around 25+ years ago but if they still work why remove them. It did make me sad seeing the empty shell of their most impressive the Ultimate it honestly shouldn't have been removed as it gave bigger some thrills the same as the rat. It is marketed as under 12s and I totally agree. We saw groups of older teens there and they were bored out of their tree. It's definitely not got the big thrill but for little its brilliant. We will definitely be back with our boy. Staff were all really helpful and polite, of parking and ticket prices were really reasonable. The good: the executive manager I think he was, was amazing a really guy - the face paint lady was really really aswell and the candy floss guy. There was a lady running the farm who was really aswell to the kids. The meet a dinosaur moment was also really good. The pirate ship was amazing and full sized. The indoor entrance theming was and transported you but this ended there. The not so good: Where to start. Im quite a reasonable and optimistic person however this place really tested me. The staff were so bad and don't belong in a theme park. They clearly hate being there I don't think I saw most of them smile at all it was awful. Staff are so important in a theme they make or break them simple as. The are old and need some care - the main and biggest the ladybird wasn't running because of rain... The road onto the was so bad. Potholes nearly as bad as Rotherham! The toilets weren't the best and smelled quite bad, the shop was overpriced and half the buildings in the were closed and run down. The bins weren't themed they were just rubbish bins, theming was just barely there so you weren't transported into any theme at all... Tickets are way overpriced. Two were operated by one poor guy so you had to wait for each ride. Barely any rain cover and the rain cover we found was not we still got wet Overall I wanted to enjoy it I really did but the cracks are so big it's ruined the park. The staff need a talking too to find out what can make them happier I actually felt bad seeing how upset they all were. We visited Lightwater Valley today and I just have to say, what an absolutely amazing experience it was for the whole family! From start to finish, it was fun-filled, magical, and truly memorable, especially for the kids. The Easter deal was fantastic value so much to do, see, and enjoy! The was bursting with activities for all ages, and the meet and greets were a huge hit. The characters were wonderful, warm, and so engaging with the little ones. Smiles all around! I honestly cannot recommend the staff enough! every single team member we encountered was 100% outstanding. They were friendly, approachable, and genuinely seemed to love what they do. Their knowledge, patience, and helpful attitudes really made the day even more enjoyable. There was a variety of food options, too to choose from and all reasonably priced. Whether it was a quick snack or a proper meal, we were sorted. And if you’re heading there don’t miss the train experience! It was such a charming and peaceful moment, giving us a lovely little tour of the and a chance to rest our feet. If you have around 10 and under then this is a fantastic place for a day out. The grounds are huge, very green and really well kept. A really variety of which are all tailored to kids, although my husband really some of the too :) We took two 7 year old and they had the best day. There are also a number of high quality play areas dotted throughout the park, including a soft play, and mini golf (we didn't do this). The staff were all really friendly and helpful.
