Really lovely and shop! The are so friendly and the food is yummy. We had their steak baguette on their specials board and a lighter breakfast. The food tasted fresh and delicious☺️ plenty of parking, toilet and a lovely seating area outside if the weather is nice. We purchased some of their cabinet sweet treats to take home too - yum! Sometimes a place doesn't get a visit from us, due to it being so close to home. We had heard many remarks about Spring House. Today, we put that right. Spring House sits near the roundabout which leads to the Leeming Bar bypass. The outside looks as it has done for many years. There is ample parking available both to the front and rear of the cafe. On entering the cafe/shop it is plain to see what the building used to be. A very sympathetic conversion has been carried out which keeps the rustic theme very much to the fore. Shown to our table, a very capable team swings in to action to make our visit as enjoyable as possible. The menu is varied but not too large. Our order is taken shortly after we have settled in. Drinks arrive swiftly and the meal follows just after. The meal is very well presented and as the saying goes 'looks enough to eat'. The meal is as tasty as it looks. It's the best presented jacket potato I've come across. The cost of the meal is on a par with other establishments in the area. The is far superior. The offers quite a decent array of locally produced produce. Again the prices are keen. We will be revisiting, despite it being so close to home. Nice one Spring House. UPDATE OCTOBER 2025 Called in for a quick mid morning snack. As usual SHFS was nicely busy. We were well looked after. The continues to be first class. The sausage and egg butties we had were extremely tasty. Partnered with Yorkshire Tea it was an enjoyable treat. Thanks SHFS. We have often passed this little on our way home and not called in as home is so close. However, we have heard things about this so gave it a try today. We were met at the door and shown to our table. A member of came shortly to take our order. Drinks came swiftly with food following shortly after. I had Quiche of the day with salad and apple coleslaw. It was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The were so friendly and attentive. The cost of the meal was on a par with other establishments but the and food was much higher. I would highly recommend this little and will make a point of another visit. They also have a lovely little with local produce and cakes. The little tea loaf I bought was a bonus. Fabulous find! Lovely and cafe! Lovely staff! Didn't seem quite as stuffy as your usual shop. Not massive but a choice of food and gifts. Spotlessly clean and quick service. The carrot cake was beautifully moist! Easy parking. Wheelchair friendly. I would presume dogs would be welcome outside. Good outdoor area too! Will revisit. Would recommend.☺️ Open 0900 on a sunday- yes! We were out presuming our hobby and was done by 0830. Needing refreshment and food, a quick search found spring house 9 mins away from where we were. Along with about another 15 of us, we were all welcomed and seated, followed by a great breakfast. Friendly efficient giving with a smile. Recommended place to stop. Sadly, we're not due to that part of the country for a while but will definitely pop in when up. Friendly and inviting. all seem genuinely happy to serve and accommodate. Now used the about 4 times and apart from the latest sausage and jacket potato (which was but not great value) all the food has been great. Not too far off the A1 at Leeming junction. Making it a much better choice than some motorway area. Recommend. Called in for a brew with my Pal, it was quite busy but found a table quickly, atmosphere was great, friendly and the food looked dispite not dining. Will be going back to sample the menu sometime soon! Just of the A1/M The Spring House is an idea pit stop. We had a lovely lunch and enjoyed one of there amazing cakes. Their coffee is too. The were all friendly and helpful which made or visit enjoyable. The has a range stock and it is over priced.
