The pub is cozy and beautifully decorated. The staff are very friendly and the food is excellent. Surprise find for us. One of the most beautiful pubs & restaurant that I've been into! 😍 Came here for work... This is an venue, the food looked very inviting coming out of the kitchen.. Jason and the lady serving (sorry didn't catch her name) were very accommodating and was being very attentive to all the customers. The photos show a beautifully and tastefully decorated village pub with ample indoor and outdoor seating They are now doing pizzas from a pizza oven on certain nights of the week... Easy in and take away. Looks like this stunning little pub has a lot of heart with the local community a lot of local people were dining by the time I left so that's always a good sign... 🤗 food and drinks in this pub. Great comfy Inn. Clean and homely. Staff are welcoming and smiley and willing to have a giggle - makes for a pleasant evening! Now the food... Spectacular !!!!! I cannot fault. Monkfish or the Porkbelly want to attend every day if I could! I would highly recommend the restaurant for any occasion. Book in advance though. Good food, friendly and attentive service, decent range of beers and wine, absolutely beautiful building in a beautiful village. I'd have given it five stars, but the toilets were a bit of a state - if they could stay on top of that, this would be a real gem. (Not that it was bad enough to stop me going back for a second meal on our holiday.) Had an delicious Sunday roast here. The roast potatoes were actually crispy which is so rare to find at a pub Sunday lunch! It is definitely in my top 3 Sunday roasts ever. The cheesy leeks were a surprise as they're not mentioned on the menu but they were absolutely divine! Will definitely come back here and highly recommend if you're in the area. I've been for a couple of meals here now, the first was so nice we went back on my 50th, nice location, nice atmosphere and staff, food tasted fantastic. Had a lunchtime meal here, with another couple. Great relaxing proper pub feel, good choice of food & drink. Flavours on the steak & Kidney pies, & burgers were really good Love The Rattlebone. We visited Westonbirt Arboretum and wanted to find somewhere to stop before heading back to south Wales. Purely picked this pub (7 mins drive ) based on the main photo. Had no idea what it would be like or if food was being served. We totally lucked out :-) It was perfect. In the pub I looked at it again on Google and saw it had an average of 4.5 stars. I’ve rated it as 5 starts. The food was fanastic. They had a good choice of real ales. This was early evening on a Friday and there was a really nice atmosphere in the pub- a buzz of friendly chat. The service from staff was 10/10. We sat in a side room and there was a cost log fire keeping us all warm :-) The food quality here has really declined. The Camembert was cold and hard in the middle when it arrived, so I had to send it back to be reheated. I asked for extra bread to go with it, but it took so long to arrive that the Camembert had gone cold again by the time it came. The roast was disappointing—what was supposed to be cheesy leek turned out to be runny cheesy broccoli instead. The roast potatoes were hard and tasted more like they’d been boiled, and the beef was very stringy. Oh and only had half a Yorkshire pudding! I had a Sunday lunch today with my family. We had a beef, chicken and a ham egg and chips. The food was well presented, fresh and tasted delicious. The desserts were too. The staff were very attentive. I would highly recommend here for lunch. I really enjoyed the atmosphere too, log fire and friendly vibe in the pub. Very welcoming. 👌👍 Wonderful Country Pub. Highly recommend the Goats Cheese starter and Lamb main. If you’re looking for a traditional British pub this is it. Me and a friend travelled from Birmingham to the cotswolds for a weekend break and were recommended the rattlebone inn for dinner on our first night there, and it was DELICIOUS! Beautiful homemade pies and the drinks were good too! Sat in front of a log fire. We even booked in for their Sunday lunch before we went back home. When we visit again we will make sure to stop off here again! We still talk about the food all the time now! Beautiful pub, delicious food and staff and atmosphere. Couldn't ask for more!
