Parking for free in front of the compound, starting with restaurant and front office, meeting very kind English speaking staff, using wc and go! after entrance you can borrow bows, arrows and helmets and do several activities, continue in the forest by bare feets, meet some and spend some time in the restaurant and it's playground, I though we can do it for 2 to 3 hours but finally we spent there almost 6 hours! It was incredible day for whole family, I highly recommend this place La nature The prehistory is not your average museum! The main building won't blow you away, though interesting. It is the total site that will get you excited. Be sure to reserve for the workshops. The bare-foot path is also a must-do. And definitely make time for some practice with spear or bow. Children should go for a spear: children bow is a toy and regular bow needs a bit of strength. The parking lot is limited, though just sufficient if you include the surrounding roads. As an Australian who doesn’t speak French, I was a little unsure of how the visit would go, but the incredible made sure that language was never a barrier. From the very first interaction, Nicole was wonderfully kind and helpful—both on the phone and at entry, making us feel at ease straight away. Justine guided us through making necklaces with such enthusiasm, turning the experience into something truly special. In the clay and caves activity, Isobella impressed us with her patience and warmth—her English was much better than she gave herself credit for! And the blonde lady leading the fire-making session was nothing short of phenomenal. Despite juggling both a large scout group and us, she seamlessly switched between French and English, ensuring everyone felt included and engaged. Beyond the outstanding hospitality, the itself is breathtaking. The setting is beautiful, the history is fascinating, and what stands out most is how much the genuinely love what they do. They don't move anymore those because they are from stone age and after all those arrows in their mousse belly every day again, they decided to become sort of model animals, something like : shoot me, that's why I am here. My 3 and 4 year olds particularly loved making pottery and spear throwing. There was plenty for older children too and all the information was written in four languages, including English.
