Shannon behind the bar was really informative and quite funny. It was a pleasure to speak to her Nice little pub and restaurant with reasonable priced food and good portions however this is my 4th visit and every time they have had pizza menu on the tables but they were not doing pizzas My burger was bone dry and very hard and crispy on the outside . Found it difficult to chew. Thought burgers were supposed to be juicy. Also they forgot my pot of burger sauce. Took my puppy in for the second time..very happy with seating...however they forgot my choc fudge cake!!! and had to be reminded TWICE.!!! When it arrived it was lovely Went here after not being able to have food at the West House We didn't have food but have always threatened too as it looks amazing. Just drinks and a catch up with family. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Thank you for accommodating additional members of our party ar short notice. We were extremely grateful. We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast. The children were kept busy with their colouring gifts on the table and enjoyed receiving their gift from the lovely Santa too. Staff were extremely attentive, we will be returning with our cracker gift vouchers soon. Nice touch 😁👌 From the smile as we entered the pub even though we were 10 mins late to the efficient ordering service drinks very quickly made and the food delivered within 10/12 mins we had exceptional service. The food was one beef and two Turkey dinners. Plenty of meat veg and roast potatoes. Also mash and pigs in blankets with the Turkey dinner. We really enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere in the pub. We will definitely be returning. My medium rare steak came almost well done, the grill marks were burned so far into the steak had it been the same on the other side it would have been in pieces. "Grilled tomato" had only kissed the grill. My peas were mainly raw, although there were some old, discoloured peas thrown in the mix. Also, my salad, brown rice, quinoa and other pulses were mearly a portion of white rice with added turmeric. Very disappointing. Toilets were very clean though and we could take the dog in. My partner enjoyed her food however, so I couldn't give a 1 star. Great service, good choice of gluten free food. Nice pub, staff are friendly. BUT. The only vegan choices for main meals are curry, which is far too hot, or chilli. Not everyone likes spicey food. I can't even have the veggie burger because there's cheese in it. The two starters are better choices. I did order these as a main, twice, but they came first and the people with me had to wait for their food. Why not put theses as a main also. Lovely venue friendly staff, delicious food and spotless. We had a 73rd birthday on Halloween, everything was great. Good atmosphere, friendly staff and all meals were fantastic. The food was hot and it all arrived together no one was waiting for their meal. I'm a fussy eater and mine was exactly what I asked for, couldn't fault any of it Thank you for the service.
