A group of six people came in after hiking all day needing to use the bathroom and drink some wine. We were greeted warmly, offered to taste some before we decided, and welcomed in their garden that offers sun and shade and beautiful views of the river and nearby church. They have a vending machine full of if you’d like something after they close. We bought to take away with us. We look forward to coming back here. Here we would like to rate the wein automat on the premises of Weingut Amlinger & Sons. The idea is great, a chance to further promote and sell after hours while providing the opportunity for guests to sit and enjoy a drink in a lovely garden overlooking the Mosel. Unfortunately, the wein automat did not function for everyone who tried to use it. We were fortunate that another patron was able to successfully use the machine and help us out after we had been trying without luck for several minutes. We observed this happen to several others as well. Finally, the machine broke down altogether. Alongside this, the machine was only half stocked directly after the weingut closed and, therefore, had limited options available. In our opinion, the unreliability of the automat and the lack of stock is a missed opportunity for this business to make money and maintain a satisfied customer base. Excellent choice of wines. Cosy atmosphere and friendly hosts. Enjoyed my visit. Top Very good wine, we had to stop for a second visit and buy even more. We had a nice wine-tasting here, the host was very friendly and explained every wine. He also told some nice stories about the harvest and the influence of the weather. Of course we ended up buying some nice wines. Did a tasting in August, great variety and everything was very good. Went home with several bottles of the "Schwarzriesling Rose trocken" and "Schiefer Riesling trocken"!
