Superb meal and cold beer very decent price of food and was cooked lovely. Staff are pleasant and helpful . Pub was clean and in a good central location. Second time here the food is brilliant for the price you pay and the service is very good. Beam ceilings and a clean pub I'd say the best pub in the village for a nice chilled quiet pint, it's lively don't get me wrong but the other pubs in the area seem to be full of loud mouth youths (nothing wrong with that) I was looking to just sit back and enjoy a pint, nice church behind too. Real gem, we was out for a wonder in the wolds and after we fancied some food and a cheeky beer. We where only 10 minutes away from Market Rasen so thought we would head over to see what was on offer and soon found this place. Upon wondering in we where welcomed warmly and soon found a table. Between the 2 of us we ordered steak and ale pie and rhe beef lasagne along with a drink each 1 pint of fosters and a half with lime. The price was very decent at £25.30 and we eagerly awaited our food which didn't take long. The food was hot and fresh and very well portioned. No photos as we was very hungry and didn't waste any time tucking in. If your in the area I would recommend a visit 😊 Visited on New Years’s Day with the family. The steak pie and chips were good but served lukewarm. No gravy , what ? The Haddock was very disappointing. The menu should clearly state ‘SMALL HALF PORTION HADDOCK’ so customers do not expect a standard full size haddock. Returned mine due to the apparent deception. Not cheap for the portion size. Used to rate this place 5 stars, not the same quality since the previous landlord John was here. Very disappointing 👎 Would only recommend for drinks (…..just teach the young man behind the bar to serve in turn as per a previous review ! ) Your quintessential traditional English pub. Stocked with cheap pub grub and cheap pints. Got a nice beer garden and pool table. They play sports events when they are on. What more ye need? A class local pub. Had a fantastic meal here! The staff were incredibly friendly and it had a really warm atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious and arrived quickly after ordering. Called into the Aston Arms today for dinner whilst shopping in Market Rasen, the food was amazing and the staff were courteous and friendly, I would definitely recommend this place for anyone wanting great food and a great collection of ales.
