A pleasant site of the banks of the Ardèche. This is now a Camping Car park almost in the centre of the lovely town of Ruoms . Planty of good size pitches, electricity, clean Sanitaire, waste and refilling point. Short walk to a choice of bars and restaurants and to explore the medieval centre. Brilliant campsite, right by the river, very quiet The camping is fairly basic and doesn't look very nice, but the bathrooms are clean and the location is great Standard municipal facilities but where this site scores highly is for its location- right on the banks of the Ardeche and a few minutes walk from the village where there are restaurants and shops and the evening market on a Wednesday which is a big attraction in the area. Great camping place, very calm at night. I kind of agree with the last comment but although basic what more do you need. Lovely clean showers and toilets and situated right on the river either in the open with a view of the gorge or as we did thankfully ,in shade with a view of the river which my wife loved. No TV for the football but an easy walk into Ruoms which is a brilliant Olde Worlde French village. Would visit again. STRONGLY NOT RECOMMENDING ---- Not suited AT ALL to tents. Very unprofessional company: paid 3 nights in tents before realizing on site that the area is not suited for tents: HARD as rock soil, impossible to stick in it, and no friendly zone to lay the tent (appart for the FLOOD area, strictly forbidden to tents by the rules of the camping... ). We did not stay and went in another suitable camping, AND THE COMPANY REFUSED TO REIMBURSE. Very bad experience.
