Stopped here for breakfast after arriving in Keflavík and picking up our rental car. We arrived right as they opened. They had a delicious collection of pastries and breads available. The cafe latte I ordered was the best I had all 2 weeks in Iceland. The staff were welcoming and helpful and everything we ate was excellent. Nice bakery near Kef airport. Definitely worth a stop. Nice bread and you can ask them to make a sub for you. Only bad thing is that the donuts are very dry. But "héðinsbolla" is nice. We stopped here when we got off the plane. I had a nice apple pasty and coffee. They had quick service and were friendly. One of the danish’s did not taste very fresh but we would give it another try if we were in the area. We eat at this lovely, cozy bakery every time we’re fortunate enough to be in Iceland. We discovered it on our very first trip since it was within walking distance to our hotel in Keflavík. We come back for the perfectly baked, crispy on the outside & soft on the inside, breads/buns & a wide selection of sweet treats. The sweets are VERY sweet, mind you, but the sandwiches are perfect! Prices are good for the Reykjavík area. Can’t wait to come back next year!! 💕 Excellent bakery on our way to the airport. Great coffee, sweet and savory. Options too. Try the breakfast bread sandwich grilled. It is yummy. It is such a cute little shop and has lots of variety in selection. Service was very quick and the staff were very kind. We discovered this little bakery the morning after we arrived. The service is friendly and quick and the food was amazing. I had the mexican bread sandwich (I think that is what it was called). Didn't think I would like the cucumbers on the sandwich but it was surprisingly delicious. Bread was soft and tasty. Latte was delicious-they used 1883 syrup which I had been wanting to try. We went back again the next day.
