Lovely park, a great caravan, and very clean, The food was very nice at the bar and tasty, reasonably priced and plenty to choose from. Service was always great and the was always helpful. The only gripe for us was I booked solely because it had a lake for 🎣 fishing ....no it's not a lake it's a pond. Very few fish in extremely mirky water, kids running around it daily, we also caught 1 teenage eastern European, using fish traps, as he had no rod! so removed the traps and told reception who said they were aware but weren't too bothered! Don't advertise something you DON'T have, as my partner said it's nothing more than a muddy puddle! We weren't the only people who came because there was onsite fishing. Too many children unattended as well who could have drowned or seriously hurt themselves around the pond. If it was off-season we would go again as it was well kept but we would fish off-site, like we did this time. We went to Westlands in Hornsea 5 minutes away, with great lakes and very good Bailiffs, a good shop onsite if you forget tackle etc. £12 a day dawn till dusk. Lovely uncommercial site, even though they are sponsored by Daiwa. Couldn't be more friendly and even gave me their number so I can call in advance next time. The lady who owns it said she will give me details of a better place to stay that's quieter too. Great site for owners but not really a place for us as we prefer quieter and plenty of fishing onsite. The moment we entered the Boathouse, the woman looked like someone had taken a dump in her cornflakes that morning and she was blaming everyone for it. We ordered our food at the same time but my parents had eaten half of their dish by the time my husband and mine came. Then the quality of the food for the price!! You pay decent restaurant prices for the dishes but receive quality that's worse than wetherspoons. There was the bacon and cheese burger all i could taste was burned meat and the bacon hurt my teeth to bite in to. Then had the chilli con cane and it was just slop- no kidney beans or anything that makes a chilli and it cost her about £16!! Then the atompshere, oh my goodness, there was serious noise sensory overload. The bass music coming from the connected bar caused my chest to hurt. The music inside the bar tried to mask the base making it hard to talk while eating and then there was noise from the football on the tv. All at 4pm. We ate what we could and got the heck out of there and never returned during our stay in Skipsea Sands. We preferred to drive over to Bridlington ot Hornsea for our dinner because eating there was such an awful start to our holiday experience. And the site itself- firstly, the lied to us, told us we wouldn't hear the music from the Hub from our because I asked for a quiet section due to us being a family who don't really enjoy staying up late drinking, we enjoy early mornings and 10pm bedtimes. (And respect those who don't enjoy that. Hence why we asked to be put with other fellow none late night party families.) However, the music was so loud that it disrupted everything, messed with the ones with autism in my family and made staying in our absolute hell because the music and thump thump thump of the bass wasn't the only thing, oh no, it was the inconsiderate people who were around us. It made the entire site feel insecure, unsafe and we were scared to leave the at all for a lovely evening stroll by.... what's left of the edge of the sea. (Not their fault the erosion is happening. But don't go if you want easy access to the beach. It's a near hour walk to the beach or a 15 minute drive to the next town/village.) I complained about the people, because of all the thugs that were around, walking around screaming, can of cheap larger in their hands (and even witnessed a child, about 14, drinking from a can too). But nothing was done and they only told me "it's holiday makers, it's the weekend." Poor excuse. We will never be returning here and unless you want a Skegness experiences without the beach, then Skipsea Sands is for you. Stayed at the Park Dean Resort for a short midweek break, after arriving early evening decided to eat at the Boathouse, loads of deals to choose from on different days and times throughout the day, Monday evening was a main and drink for £12 each, ordered at the bar as it was easier due to very little signal on my mobile thus not being able to download the app, restaurant looked clean and tidy inside, young lady behind the bar pleasant and helpful, food came out quickly by a young chap who welcomed us to the Resort and asked if we needed anything else before leaving the table, very suprised for a busy Resort the restaurant was normally very quiet, meals we had were I thought great value for money, I cannot complain, good quality of food also not too expensive ❌ 7.5/10 Definitely holiday atmosphere, onsite lovely , the lady in the shop was lovely . The bar couldn't fault them. The was located three vans away from the club house , yes you could hear sounds but wasn't that bothered as I'm sure it's expected. The lovely just perfect for the two of us . Entertainment really good . Overall we enjoyed it Just had lovely bacon sandwich with sausage hash brown 😋 and coffee ☕️ 😋 Great staff Keep up the good work ... I'm an owner and it's nice to recommend you to our customers!!
