Very chippy, infact I will go as far as to say the best around. We go regularly. Also made more interesting as it's next to a pub with outside seating so you can enjoy a pint and and chips. Perfect 😃 Popped into here today after delivering to the antique shop just around the corner. The smell of food drew me in, I was with a colleague so I decided to treat them to and chips. I said to the fryer the best and chip shop is in Hull kingfisher on Endyke Lane, that was in my opinion. Anyway I ordered large haddock and twice one with mushy peas the fryer said to me try our food and see if you think it is better than your existing one. HE WAS RIGHT! Oh my god the was so it was pure white it just fell apart in sections it was absolutely outstanding. My friend who was with me used to be a trawler man, so he knows quality fish. He said it was the best he had ever had in his life I agreed with him it was a very pleasant experience in eating this outside on the benches. The service was very welcoming and outstanding the lady presented as with lots of choices like do you want some tartare sauce, she even give us a lemon to go on top. It was a very rare experience to have such customer service and top quality food which was piping hot they even cook the I think they do this as standard. When we went outside to eat it even though we was intending on taking it away they put it on a plate for us, it was lovely and sunny outside and we talked to a few local people as well. Overall it was a very experience from beginning to end and actually the wasn't that expensive it was only £5.90. Very relaxed atmosphere and easy going nice genuine people I have taken a picture of my food I hope I can add it to this review. This now is my number one place to go for and I do not live in that village but I would be prepared to travel because the quality was so it was extremely the was golden juicy but still crispy, even the where beautiful not like the normal chippy where they can be stodgy they had just the right amount of crispness on them but soft and fluffy inside. This is a genuine review left from a van man that does many deliveries so we do get in quite a few food places so we know what is and what isn't. The owner or the fryer he had just closed up when we finished but the last minute customer came he reopened his doors to cook this lady some how customer service is that. 10 out of 10 on all fronts! Restaurant quality food at takeaway prices I think it would be extremely hard for any other shop to beat the quality what this guy is presenting I don't think it's possible. I looked at some of the other reviews and lots of people had given him low marks and stars? I cannot understand for one minute this because our experience was outstanding on above all the food was absolutely delicious but everybody is entitled to their opinion but in my experience and I do have quite high standards this is without doubt the best and I have ever had. Rob from Hull Found this place online as we were in the area for a family wedding. It's a definite gem, hidden away behind a public house. is cooked to order and is worth the 10-15 minutes wait. Staff were polite and friendly, despite it being extremely busy. Definitely full of local people who are regulars, all chatting about their families etc. Great to listen to and people watch, lovely feel to the place. Space to sit outside on their tables and plenty of parking available. Food was outstanding. white haddock in crispy batter, perfectly cooked and the usual sides. Tartare sauce and sliced lemon provided free on request, nice touch. We will be returning here, even if we make a special journey to do so. Really top notch and not that expensive with now days and prices but there was to much and not enough for me but i would go agian plenty of seating out side also every table outside has salt and vinegar supplied the ypung lad on till just needs a bit more training with till and cash but very polite My partner and I heard this place was and we weren't disappointed. This was the best Haddock, and scraps we've ever eaten! The gravy was delicious too and all at a very reasonable price. Very friendly staff too. Don't miss this place. Its amazing! No complaints with the food which is lovely but wow, prices have risen steeply! I remember when a bag of was a £1 now it’s a fiver and a small and is nearly £9. Ouch! Called in on a Sunday evening on our way back from Milton Keynes to Beverley. Staff were friendly and helpful splitting the as wife only has a slack handful. Haddock was cooked to order only large left but an excellent piece of fish, very white, lovely flakes and a crispy batter! Overal very good. Will call again. Staying in North Cave for a week. My 2nd visit. I ordered large and on both occasions. The 1st time the was only just a little larger than the small other customers received. Today the 2nd time I ordered the same again. It wasn't only small the was so thin I struggled to find any between the batter. Very disappointed. Certainly not a large or even a small fish. More like a sandwich.
