The of prey are impressive and the kids particularly loved the jelly displays inside Very enjoyable. Set in the cute "sea-side" village of Audierne,this was better than I had expected. First off, there are the on display (yes - I know that this is an "aqua show" but I'll get to that in a minute) where you can see (and learn about) the white-tailed Eagle, the bald Eagle, the snowy owl (amongst others). Then there is the which has some amazing displays of and other deep sea creatures. As well as being jaw dropping incredible to look at, its also very educational. There is also a "petting pool" where you (and children) get to touch, and handle, starfish, rays , and other oddities. Then there is the "show". This is actually a bird where the are shown and perform their feats right over your head. And these are the large such as the aforementioned bald Eagle. This is quite amazing, and very enjoyable. (Be warned - while the speal is very educational and entertaining, it is only in French.) All in all, a great outing for a family. (TIP - in camping grounds, etc, you can find the Aquashow pamphlet that includes a voucher for free entry for a child.) Generally awesome! The most beautiful thing was that you could really touch the little sharks (dogfish) and the rays in the basin. The seahorses were funny to see. The barn owl and the bald eagle are beautiful too. The main attraction here is the bird show. It's very impressive and entertaining. Unfortunately it's in French so we couldn't understand a thing. Check the times of the before you go! Around lunch time there is no show. I do advise to go to the preshow at 14.30 (not sure what it's called). They you some up close and you can even wear a glove and the bird will sit on your arm! Don't go here for the aquarium. It's unimpressive, especially if you've been to an with bright colored fish. The open where you can touch some is nice though. The bird cages are very small. The don't really have enough space to fly. The restaurant has a nice terrace overlooking the bay. The moules frites with roquefort sauce is recommended. Much better than we were expecting in a small town like this. The bird has the flying about freely in the sky and above the bay if they want and demonstrating their hunting skills. The is quite good too with a variety of local fresh and sea water fish. Excellent family day, great food and fun gift shop! Well worth annual membership! Great place for both children and adults. Both the tour and the with are thrilling - do not miss the only guided tour at 11am for the aquarium, the guide is passionate and interesting. 4 stars for the fish, 1 star for everything else. While the atmosphere was well made, it wasn't nearly enough to justify the price. All the animals were in a cage way too small for their size and amount and some of the even are tied to something and can't even fly around in their already small cage!
