Four of us had lunch. The welcome was excellent and food very good. The venue is simply awe inspiring. Loved the beautiful hops and lights on the beams. We shall return! We returned August 2024....just as good again. Best pub I've been to in recent years. I highly recommend a Sunday lunch at the Nantyffin, especially in December as there is roast turkey & Christmas pudding on the menu. The food is absolutely delicious, plentiful & cooked to perfection. All meats are slow roasted, so they just melt in your mouth. I had the turkey, & can honestly say it's the best I've had in a long time. The staff are lovely, very accommodating & cheery. It's a very busy & bustling place, but nothing is too much trouble. I encourage everyone to sample the delights of Nantyffin, but advise booking, as it's full to the rafters on a sunday. Just be mindful that it's always very cold in the restaurant as it's a stone building, wear something warm. We had Sunday lunch today, service was quick but our daughter asked for a cup of regular tea but got Earl Grey, then when the meals arrived the vegetables were literally just Luke warm. The roast potatoes already on the plate with the meat were cold. Disappointing I'm afraid. Gorgeous Sunday lunch. Friendly atmosphere, kind staff Great food my fish and chips were the I've had in a while also the apple crumble was very good as good as my Nans was We visited this for Sunday lunch and were genuinely impressed from start to finish. The food was absolutely superb! Everything tasted fresh and beautifully presented. The roast beef was tender and full of flavour, the vegetables were cooked just right, and the Yorkshire puddings were spot-on, crisp on the outside and fluffy inside. The gravy tied it all together perfectly. What really stood out, though, was the service. The girls working that afternoon were fantastic, friendly, attentive, and genuinely warm without ever being overbearing. They made sure everything was just right and checked in at all the right moments. You could tell they took pride in what they do and wanted everyone to have a great experience. All in all, it was one of the best Sunday lunches we’ve had in a long time! Great food, lovely atmosphere, and excellent service. We’ll definitely be back soon. Highly recommended! We had our wedding reception at Nantyffin Cider Mill and it was the most beautiful day! Chloe and Meg helped us to plan everything in the year leading up to the day, providing help with the vision we had for decor, food options, and generally being a great support in the planning process. Every call we had with them calmed our nerves about the day. On the day, Chloe, Meg and the rest of the Nantyffin team were amazing - nothing was too much trouble and they made sure everything ran smoothly. The marquee was decorated with a mixture of homemade and C&M events decor and was just how we wanted it. The food was stunning and we’ve had so many comments about how good it was including for those with allergies. Chloe & Meg also maked sure we had all the drinks we wanted on tap and ensured we always had a drink in hand! They helped with little surprises for one of the brides, setting up a piñata halfway through the night and packed us up a snack box to take to our hotel! We would recommend Nantyffin and C&M to anyone looking for a wedding venue in Abergavenny! Photos by Kim Williams Photography We held our wedding at our local venue, and couldn't have been happier. The Mill Room is absolutely perfect for a rural wedding. Chloe and Meg and the staff couldn't have done more for us - they were so attentive and helpful. Food, drink and venue were absolutely perfect. The Sunday lunches are famous and fabulous, so you need to book in advance and you won't be disappointed, Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
