A small campground but could be a role model for the most other campgrounds! It's one of the cleanest campgrounds I stayed in Australia - and I visited more than 120 within 9 months. Everything is - sites, ways, pool, toilets, showers... Everything! There is not one tile with a mildew dot on it even not in the gaps between the tiles! Staff - the whole staff - friendly and helpful! Fees about 48$ powered+water 2 Adults a night. Clean amenities are not only an issue of the owners or of the management! The visitors are a big part thereof! This campground is to recommend in any case. The caravan is next to Lake King. Just 15m of grass, & a wonderful view, separate us from the water. Magnificent! The sunrise is brilliant & the shimmer of the moon across the water, to die for. Morning coffee in the self service Cafe is an extra bonus & usually a chat ensues. The owner runs a operation & friendliness is at the forefront of this. Love the place! This is a very small that’s packed with 10/10 features starting with a friendly greeting at the front desk with one of the staff guiding each camper in to their spot. Most sites suit smaller vans/camper trailers with best spots for large ones beach front. Every is very easily accessed. Some sites are a little further away from connection points but the front desk can help you out if you need extensions. Each has either grass or artificial grass under your awning or around your camp site. The amenities are brand new or look it at least and very clean. There is an awesome camp kitchen with bar area and even a high end coffee machine at $4 a cup. Free firepits are available with a large bag of hardwood for $25. They prefer you use their pits but again they are free and are very efficient Despite being full of young families with little kids and most having dogs, it couldn’t have been any more peaceful There is a private jetty you can use for a fee for powered water craft. The lake is shallow off the bank for safe and easy access for kayaks, SUPs or kids inflatables. There is also a well maintained covered swimming pool The wind can get up and change direction very quickly, so bear that in mind with what you need for awnings etc. Paynesville is 10min away with an impressive IGA. Then for pretty much anything else you could need Bairnsdale is 15min in the other direction. Within hours of being here we decided it’s our new favourite park. My husband suggested not rating this place at all because it's just so good that we don't want anyone else knowing about it. Absolutely beautiful, serene and peaceful. Will definitely be coming back. Though I live in Canada, Australian Black Swans are my favorite swan species. Videos of swan families from this location are very beautiful, relaxing, and adorable. Loved our 5 nights at this on the shores of the lake. Beautiful peaceful spot to unwind. and modern amenities. My elderly mum stayed in a cabin which was very comfortable for her. We had a waterfront van and loved our breakfasts looking over the lake. Kym and Bill are perfect hosts - thank you both for everything! Definitely hope to return one day. Absolutely Great park. Very and well maintained. Nice Pool. A and tidy camp kitchen where you can cook and eat if you require. Also has a games room / lounge with an easy to use coffee machine. Owner Bill was friendly and helpful and always up for a chat. Would happily recommend to anybody looking for a good to stay at. We loved this park. Had a great time. Good camp kitchen. Well behaved dogs welcome. Perhaps not recommended for people with littlies as is lakefront, as per the name Stunning campsite, super clean, the showers and toilets look brand new. Host was so friendly, fully enjoyed our stay, it was lovely and quiet, a small but fully booked, had power, and has the most stunning back drop, we just had the rain all night but stunning to wake up to. Would fully recommend if you are looking for a campsite close to Raymond island traveling up the coast. One of the best parks we have been to. Second time back and recommended to our mates which had a great time. is clean, well presented, neat, friendly. Owner kym and Bill are awesome. And easy going. Couldn't recommend it enough. Love the water front camping and lots to do but all chill out. Our kids and four legged fur babies love it too.
