Excellent place spotless.has pool .games room .camp kitchen..cabins . Friendly owners .great little town .ferry goes to Raymond island or you can walk the bridge Stayed here for a couple of nights , drive thru sites. They alternate directions which makes it more private and you have grass for your awning . Excellent maintained amenities, pool was and refreshing. Great playground for kids . Can walk to town and go across on ferry to Raymond Island to see the Koalas This Park was a little gem in amongst housing. Wasn’t expecting much when driving in but what a nice little neat and welcoming Caravan Park it turned out to be. Great staff and great sites also very quiet considering housing nearby and also toilets and showers were exceptional quality. Great little area with Raymond Island very close where koalas are easily seen. A quiet alternative to Lake entrance nearby. Owners/managers are such nice people. Smiles and happy to help/chat. Park is spotless. Rates (powered site) are some of the better we’ve seen these days. Been twice, will be back. Just arrived from a girls weekend and booked a 3 bedroom cabin. Absolutely spotless, crisp white sheets and provided towels which many parks do not, better than some hotels.Just a very short stroll to the main shopping and restaurant strip. The owners were very and accommodating. Definitely going back and highly recommend. Had a wonderful two nights in a campervan at this peaceful holiday park. Best pool setup we've had for a family with two young kids. All the facilities were well kept, laid out nicely, and the owners were super helpful (including a scooter repair for our 5 year old). Easy 5-19 min stroll into town for groceries/waterfront/restaurants/Raymond Island ferry. Having stayed at maybe a dozen holiday parks in NZ and Australia, I'd say this is closest to the idealized version I had pictured before our trip. all around. Stayed two nights in our 8m motorhome on a very narrow but long slab site suited more for caravans I think. The original site we were given was on grass/dirt and much wider but backing right onto the kids playground and pool which is our worst nightmare although no kids during our stay. The staff are really good and it's walking distance to Paynesville shops and Raymond island ferry. Was quiet when we were there during the week and not holidays of any sort. They are doing major works right next to the park building accommodation for sale as part of the park, but when we were there was no noise or work going on luckily. Quiet, small and well maintained park, with a lovely, very obliging and helpful manager. Clean, large camp kitchen and separate games room. Clean cabins, with nice crisp sheets on beds, towels, shampoo and conditioner thoughtfully provided, heater turned on to warm up the cabin ready for us. Kids enjoyed the playground, but wished the pool was heated. (It is winter though!) Close to shops. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you! Second time we have stayed there in a two bedroom cabin and will definitely be back. Cabin had everything you need and was nice and clean. All the amenities are clean too. The people working at the park are very friendly and accomodating. Short walk into town, great location. Thanks for a stay. Paynesville Holiday Park was a delight! We camped so we found the camp kitchen very useful. The bathrooms were clean and well equipped. The 2 most important features for us were: 1. it's pet friendly and our small dog loved all the grass areas. 2. the friendly and helpful owners who made us feel welcome. Thanks for a short stay!
