Loved our to Nyerimilang Heritage Park where we were lucky enough to catch a local botanical expert giving a talk on the flora found there. The is wonderfully preserved/restored and the grounds beautiful. We did one of the longer walks which was OK but a bit underwhelming, and when we arrived back at the there was a vintage car club visiting so that was an added bonus. Well worth the time to pop out here Spent a good two hours here walking around the homestead, down to the jetty and along the cliff walk. Lots of history as you immerse yourself in farm life 100 years ago. Very informative, well done Parks Australia and also the volunteers who keep the place and running. Lovely gardens and a well looked after stately homestead. Well worth a visit. This historic and gardens is a short 10 minute trip from Lakes Entrance and well worth the effort. The is modest but elegant. The setting is tranquil. The gift at the entrance has lovely arts and crafts and preserves from local artisans and businesses. The is largely run by volunteers and it is helpful to support such a worthy site. Worth a visit! There were two volunteer elders who were very accommodating, kindly showing us a printed map and explaining where to go. The place itself is a heritage site, and it’s amazing to see how the old has been preserved. You can view old photos, antique items, and even a piano (which needs tuning, but my son was eager to try it anyway). Big thanks to the people who continue to look after this place so future generations can also appreciate it. The surroundings are peaceful and calming, with beautiful nature views, including the lookout and the lake. Highly recommended for families who enjoy parks and historical places! Great heritage homestead. Great walk and good spot for family picnic, weddings, and get together. This site is looked after by the lovely local volunteers and are very friendly. No entry tickets. There is a little souvenir shop. Please support local volunteers by making a little purchase. Must when you are in Lakes Entrance and Gippsland area. Wonderful place to visit. It's like stepping back in time. Everything is beautifully preserved, from the old to the books and pianos inside. Lots of history to discover, a walking track, lookout, and friendly wildlife such as magpies and butterflies. There are plenty of toilets, which are very clean. The staff are also very friendly and have a gift shop, with good prices and lovely handmade items. It is free to enter as well. Wow what a stunning parkland with magnificent views over the lakes!!! It was my first at the Nyerimilang Heritage and Park. I was welcomed at the visitors centre with a map and shown where to start. The incredible smell of eucalyptus and the lovely trails are breathtaking. I love the loop trails, stops at the farmhouse, look outside with information and the walk through the is like stepping back in time. What a gem of a place to have within reach, look forward to the opera concert in 2026! 💚 Worth a visit. 1880s heritage large country holiday on expansive grounds. Overlooks lakes. Very picturesque. 10 mins from Lakes Entrance. Nyerimilang is a surprisingly beautiful spot with various walks, spectacular views of the Gippsland Lakes, v helpful women at the entry point/gift shop, wonderful buildings, glorious old trees & vegetation. You’d need at least a whole day to really explore all of the Park The heritage park is a very calming and peaceful environment to for a nice refreshing walk with your family.
