The carpark well signposted and is spacious enough for at 10 cars. The path to the stone is beautifully maintained with plenty of benches for rest spots along the way. The stone itself is a fantastic piece of history and very well kept. We had the whole place to ourselves on a Saturday morning! A wonderful surprise was the wartime bunker just beyond it! The views are fabulous Love this place with a very unique and interesting history. We had a guide (Mike) from the Aberdeen Agency. Had a great day and learned a lot about this site and "Lay-lines." We used divining rods too. Recommed visiting. Beautiful spiritual place high above. When you stand up there amongst the standing stones you can feel the serenity and view across the land so peaceful, also a burial site. If you love bothering ancient stones then you need to visit Tomnaverie Stone Circle. Small carpark, and short walk uphill to the Circle. Unfortunately it was late in the day, so we could not do the walk. Just a short walk from the parking lot & beautiful with a great view of the surrounding area Little bit of a hill to climb, but keep going because it's worth it. The is unique with the stone that frames the mountain view in the distance. The views are 360 at the top. Don't pass this one by. Interesting ancient monument, particularly the altar stone. Great views. Well maintained path up slope from small car park. Easy to find, had a free parking lot, short climb to the from the parking lot. Stones were in pretty decent condition considering their age! The views are incredible from the circle.
