It’s wardened and offers toilet facilities and Wi-Fi, but be aware, spaces are extremely limited. If it’s full, your best bet is the Park & Ride at Nant Peris, about 3 miles down the pass. Be sure to check the bus timetable ahead of time. We were lucky to secure overnight for £40, though booking via JustPark on-site was a challenge due to poor internet signal. The weather was perfect and even when you arrive early there are lots and lots of people heading for the summit. Toilets are clean, there's a small shop to buy a guide, hats and gloves during colder months. An amazing place to start a walk of any nature, we only walked around the lakes but it was well worth it. Many thanks to the lads on the gate at the centre were absolute gentlemen. They looked after us as my wife is disabled which is a rarity these days.
