Clean and spacious. Suitable for kids. As usual, a lot of people but luckily the place itself is quite big. If come close to the close time (it closes at 19), you will find place to swim as well as reduced price (only on working days!). The was clean enough and there was no line for the early riser tariff - 7 to 9AM. However, there was only one lane separated - for fast swimmers, and as I am not very fast, I didn't work up the courage to get in it. The rest of the big swimming had no segregated lanes, so it was a bit of a mess. I think people mainly tried to keep to the lines drawn on the bottom, but it didn't always work out, and also not everyone did it. I was constantly in someone's way, or someone in mine, until I shifted to the far end, which was more sparsely populated. I think it would be much better to just have lanes. Another downside is that non-swimmers was closed (functional, but fenced off). IDK why and I think families with kids would also love to use early morning slots. The lockers need a euro. We have experienced similar situations last time when we visited here on 15.08.2025, I would like to share my thoughts and suggestions: Background knowledge: in Germany all of the public pools and well organised private pools always separate the swimmers’ from non-swimmers‘ areas. Swimmers‘ pools usually have min. 2 meters depth with jumping and diving equipments; non-swimmers‘ pools are typically having 0.8 meter -1.5 meters depth with some leisure facilities such as slides and fountains. There is a clear definition to identify a swimmer from non-swimmer: the person shall obtain a minimum level of Bronze Swimming Badge (integrated with the former Freischwimmer). In the public German schools such badge should be normally obtained by every student at the age of 7-9 year-old (end of the 3rd Grade), but some can also obtain much earlier by attending private swimming trainings outside of school. After the student passes the Bronze Badge, he or she could also continue taking on more advanced trainings for the next levels such as Silver, Gold, and Lifeguard badges. Each badge builds on the one before it and increasingly demands more technique, endurance, and safety skills. I can understand if some foreigners did not attend the German public or equivalent schooling system then they will be not easily able to define themselves if they are or non-swimmers, because they definitely never took the exam for Bronze Swimming Badge.
