The food was great, and there was plenty on the plate. Nice restaurant, not too fussy. Toilets were well maintained and clean. First visit. Not busy at 5pm. Well priced menu, good service. food and friendly staff. Staying close by for the weekend and was recommended to us Normally I take decent photos of the food but it was so nice I got stuck into it and forgot lol so the ones added don't do it justice at all.Duck in orange sauce was and the garlic potatoes the best I've had. Full of cream and cheese sauce. Will def be back Whilst staying nearby my family and I went here two nights for dinner. We had a few different starters, kids had a lovely garlic ciabatta, the Brie and mushrooms were also excellent. I had chicken wings and they were slightly overcooked. The mains we had over the two nights were great, the burger was fantastic and the chicken stack was good. The kids pizza was really good although my daughter had a hotdogs and the finger roll was not fresh and quite hard. The staff were excellent and the was brilliant so I would definitely go back if I was in the area. Arrived at 8:00pm Thursday evening to be told “we’re closed!’ Mentioned the website says open until 9:00 but “girl” behind desk just said that’s for weekend even the website says Thursday Friday etc her abrupt response “well the kitchen is closed!” We went to Mahons and had and a meal! Easy choice for us next time! Firstly I would not give this place any star rating. Stayed the weekend close to this restaurant we called in for something to eat , greeted by a lovely lady who brought us to our table , well the waitress who came to take our order she may aswell have stayed at home, couldn't even crack a smile was terrible the worst place ive ever been to for , the atmosphere in the place was terrible , 50quid we spent and the food wasn't either definitely will not be back! Really lovely place. Food very tasty and fresh. Staff very friendly Went here with friends on Friday past having made a reservation earlier in the week. Upon arrival we were shown to our table in a large open dining area. Staff were pleasant and business like. We ordered our meals and drinks which arrived a little later as everything is freshly cooked. We all enjoyed our meals and will make a point of returning the next time we are in the area. Definitely recommended Really good food, service, nice surroundings, what more could you want? Priced reasonably too (we're from the south and used to paying a lot more).
