Staff were a little rude, asked if we wanted salt and vinegar. said we did but no vinegar on the or scampi. so the lady said il just give you salt, I thought its up to the customer what they want? portion sizes are quite small. Large barely covered 4 of us. The food was ok. What a lovely welcome by the young girl serving, lovely generous portions and the plaice was freshly cooked. Highly recommended. Hands down the best and shop on the planet. We stopped by on our last night of holiday as where we were (Polzeath) had no chippy and we really fancied and chips, some were closer but at £4.50 for a small battered sausage that wasn't happening. These guys have the cleanest, most efficient well oiled machine of a and shop me and my wife have ever set foot in, and we live in an area back home with about 35 chippys, the staff on that night were spot on, super friendly despite working at a thousand miles an hour. When a chippy is that busy despite being in non beach side location such as Delabole, you know that they must be regarded as the best around by anyone whose previously been there. That now includes my family too, even if it is a 20 mile round trip, it's absolutely worth it and we all agreed, when we're back in Cornwall for our next family holiday, Smuggler and will definitely be for dinner again. Thanks for feeding our hungry family, and if the lass's that served us reads this, the Savaloy was really good, but I still prefer a normal sausage, but atleast I've now tried one and know what they're like, a spiced sausage in a wetsuit! Thanks again, see you next time! Stopped here on way to first night at accommodation in Trebarwith. Good & chips. We arrived about 30 mins before due to close on a Saturday night and got the last batch of chips. It may have been a particularly busy night - but don’t leave it until the last minute as you may be disappointed. Excellent and chips. Plaice, cod and haddock cooked to perfection and very generous portions. Seemed to be very popular with the local crowd which is always a good sign. Great to know that you can order in advance over the Internet and collect - we will be back! Wow, really nice and wish we lived closer to come more often. Roe was nice too. Staff were very busy but kept smiling 😊 well done everyone. We drove miles and got there an hour and a half before closing and it was closed because the cookers were too hot. Went to Peckish and they were amazing.. Possibly the smallest I've been served at £7.50 rather disappointed The tasted nice and fresh. The batter was crispy . Back in Wales this size would be sold as a small or oap special at lower cost I requested salt and vinegar however my didn't have any . The were fresh but lacked flavour due to no salt and vinegar. There was no cheese in stock. I was given curry sauce instead, this was a little watery and a complimentary bottle of soft drink. Polite staff, however, I picked up a disorganised atmosphere. It's a shame that more attention to detail would have made a massive difference Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
