Wonderful, atmospheric "proper" pub. Good, well priced menu and the Sunday Lunches are second to none both for quality and price. I have never had a better Yorkshire pudding 😋 Lovely friendly atmosphere, they make you feel most welcome and the service is great. Will be back next year and will make sure I book so I don't miss out on Sunday lunch (we got lucky and had the last two today 😁). Interesting menu, most of our party were pleased with the selection, portion sizes generous.service was good. Fabulous selection of beers. Unfortunately,there is a bad smell in the place,loads of dusty ornaments,and clutter, carpets need cleaning,adds to the "dark" atmosphere, which I found not to my taste. And absolute banger of a pub. Fab selection of ales. Love the Blisland Gold! Food is excellent. Would recommend food from both the restaurant and the bar menus. A good local atmosphere too. Loved the place and only a 20min walk from where we camped at South Penquite Farm. Ask for a flight/thirds of you want to try the ales. One of Cornwalls finest pubs. Excellent selection of really well kept real ale and other beers. Food is well presented and prepared from a very good menu. Lots of local banter. It's always very welcoming. This was like stepping back in time- in a good way! I have never seen so many cups! We had puddings and what a fab menu, the Sundays were perfect in size and taste. We didn’t eat any mains (although tempted the puddings were more tempting) the restaurant area was full and the bar itself was heaving- lovely local pub and very welcoming of us and our kids as we were passing by. We saw this place being recommended in a travel guide and decided to come here. The way here is definitely not what we were used to but the narrow streets are worth it! Inside the pub has a very cute interior and the waitress is incredibly nice. She let us try the ales so we could decide better which one to order, gave recommendations and was very nice to chat with. There are some vegetarian food options and we had the vegetarian burger and chips. The burger was ok but the chips were very good. In the back they have billiard and some cute kid books. The toilets are clean. You can take ale, wine and other cute stuff like homemade crafts home with you. Really recommend the pub! Been coming to this pub for 3 years whilst staying in Blisland We just love the vibe of this pub great atmosphere and very friendly locals and staff. Huge selection of real ales and ciders available all the time! To say we couldn't get a seat both sides of the pub in late October says it all really! Will continue to return year on year 10/10 Five of us went last Sunday, for lunch. We all had a roast lunch, and the food was delicious. The meat was perfectly cooked, and really tasty. We had several types of veg on the plate. The roast spuds were perfect. And the Yorkshire pudding was melt in the mouth quality. The waitress and the bar staff were really engaging and chatty. Really nice local beer as well. We were pleasantly surprised with really competitive prices. We'll definitely be going back very soon.
