Beautiful woodland with that are various lengths and incline. Tracks for walking, with or without a dog, cycling and running. There's a car park which isn't too expensive, a and children's woodland play area. Well kept and very clearly signposted. Had a wonderful through the woods next to the beautiful cool clear river/stream. We only did the short (2 miles) as it was very hot and my wife is "running in a new hip!' The much praised loved up to expectations, albeit a little expensive. Parking was easy, but had to be paid for - all in an open and exposed valley. There were other longer walks that all had a common start point. There was a dog wash available if it was wet and muddy. But our dog had spent many happy moments in the stream, and it was hot, so no post wash necessary. A good and easy for most ages and capabilities. We absolutely love Cardinham Woods - so many different to follow and things for the children to find . I use a mobility scooter and find it perfectly accessible . Our pups love walking there - there is even a place to wash your pups after. Parking is ample & reasonably priced . Always a nice place to visit for a with or without the four legged friends. The woods offer some lovely walks in very pleasant surroundings with a river as well. The trail we chose was the Gruffalo and this featured sculptures of key characters. It was an easy length for my my girls (4 and 6) and gave enough time for our dog to explore and play in the river. Other included Wallace and Gromit and Stickman but we are yet to try these. There is also a lovely and small play park located near the main car park. The car park being the only downside at £3.50 for one hour or £4.50 for two. Pricey yes, but goes towards the upkeep of the area. All in all, we will often return when in the area. @familydadventures What a wonderful woodland. Great for horse, walker and cyclists. Fantastic too. We had a family day out. Walked up the mildly steep hill and back down to the cafe. Easy to with a push chair Quite steep in places. Lots and lots of dogs. Went for a spot of MTB here, lovely woods with plenty of walkers, dog walkers, well segregated areas with crossovers from time to time. But nice free and flowing trails, easy enough to navigate too. All finished with a nice trip to the cafe. Def recommend for all age groups who like to get in the wilds for an hour or two! Really good wood and trails, plenty of parking and reasonable prices. There is a small that serves good food if a little bit expensive. The only downside is the size of the kids park, given the number of parking spaces and the advertisement for families it's just too small. Whisky basic realistically it is maxed out at 15 children resulting in arguments and issues. If this could be upgraded and made larger this would be a fantastic place for families to spend the day One of the best bike in the local area. Some pretty technical sections so definitely not for beginners but well signposted and maintained with mainly blue and some red routes. Great little with good food and drinks.
