Fantastic show Alot to get round so give yourself plenty of time If you like all things transport then this is fo you 5 star 🌟 A nice rally, always well attended and always has more steam engines than the size of the would suggest. If you can stay till the end for the fireworks it's worth it. Lots to see, from crafts and food stalls to autojumble and clothes, plus all the vintage machinery, music and exhibits. Good family day out. Great show, loads to see. Great variety of stalls, engines, displays, tractors, motorcycles, land rovers & military vehicles. There was a good sized fair for the kids. Tons of parking. Usual toilets in a plastic box, but hey it's in a field! Good selection of eateries to tickle your taste buds. Live music throughout the day. Set in lovely Astle Park. Great day out. We'll definitely be going again next year. I have been visiting every for almost 40 years. One of my highlights. I never cease to learn something new, pickup some interesting tools or clothing and always have a very enjoyable day. The fireworks are always spectacular and a great end to a long Saturday. Roll on 2019. Excellent with a variety of things for the family. Laser this was a big hit with the younger ones and then fireworks were excellent as always. Hats off to all the organisers and exhibitors for their time and effort to make it such a great and festival of steam. The is fairly new and to be fair we didn't know what to expect but the lay out was poor which in turn led to poor sales due to terrible footfall. Highlight meeting the Fury's Great selection of stalls, selling everything from tools to food. Nice to have the vehicles parading. Reasonably priced beer tent selling a nice range of beers and ciders. Good selection of vehicles on display. Great place for a family day out. Something there for everyone. As always, food prices were far from cheap, but there was a good selection and large portions from most vendors. A lovely place to visit. We go every to the steam rally as well as the county fair. My father-in-law enjoyed his visit even more this as we got to hire him a scooter to get him about. Can get very busy after mid day but still enjoyable to walk around. Plenty of things for kids to do - full fair ground rides. Plenty of toilets. Plenty of eateries that also cater for different intolerances (I'm gluten intolerant) and loads of exhibits and market stalls to see. Can always have a banter with the stall sales people to get a good bargain depending on what you're after. The kids love it every year.
