Onos ortodoksų katedrą Jelgavoje, tiesiog negalėjau neprisėsti ir nepasigrožėti jos architektūra. Iš išorės katedra atrodo labai įspūdingai – ryškiai mėlynos spalvos kupolai su auksiniais apvadais iš karto patraukia dėmesį ir suteikia vietai ypatingo žavesio. Nors į vidų šį kartą nepavyko užsukti, jau matant pastatą galima pajusti jo istorijos svorį ir svarbą miestui. Katedra buvo pastatyta XIX a., ir jau tik žvelgiant į ją supranti, kad ši vieta buvo ir tebėra svarbus bendruomenės centras. Šalia katedros tvyro ramybė, net judrioje gatvėje – tarsi visa aplinka kviečia stabtelėti, pasimėgauti architektūros detalėmis ir ramiai pasidairyti po aplinką. Man ypač patiko, kad katedra išsiskiria ne tik dydžiu, bet ir spalvų deriniu – ryškios kupolos kontrastuoja su baltais fasado elementais, o visa kompozicija atrodo labai harmoningai. Net jei nesidomi religija, vieta tikrai verta dėmesio dėl savo kultūrinės ir istorinės vertės. Best Orthodox cathedral I've seen so far.
