I absolutely loved seeing this monument, appreciating its colossal height from both a distance and up close! The design changes the further up it goes, accompanied by a beautiful tribute carved into the monument low down. Lovely views over the town and surrounding area. Great for dog walking as large open area for them to run. Lots of trails and lanes that circle the Beacon giving plenty of different routes for walking.Easy parking, usually spaces available. Great place to walk your dog if your nearby Beautiful views from up top. You can park reasonably close to the beacon. Once you're at the top of the hill, there's not much other than a few benches and the beacon itself. It's a nice place to go for a wonder just for the views when you're there. I'd personally avoid taking direction from Google maps once you're up there because I took me the wrong way. There are only a few paths, so simply follow the one in the direction of the beacon. Lovely relaxing place to walk. We stayed in Bodmin for a week and this was perfect. You could watch the weather change so quickly!! Fabulous to spend a couple of hours here. Nice paths up to and around the beacon, then nice views of the surrounding countryside. Great exercise and a fantastic place to watch the sunset! Recent haircut so looking great!
