Great meat selection but one boring vegetarian option. Pastry was good. Friendly service. Cafe is dog friendly with a large garden out back. We bought drinks at the cafe including a non alcoholic cider then bought our from the takeaway on the way home as it was half price to do so. Highly recommended for an excellent apple pie and icecream. 🥟 Tip: For pasties, grab them from the 🥡 takeaway in the same building — more options, faster service ⏱️, and about half the price 💰. ☕ I went for a sit-down meal in the café around 2 pm — service was super slow 🐢 and drinks were forgotten 🙈. 🥩 Lamb & mint had some meat but mostly potatoes 🥔🥔. ✅ Other = good 👍 🥔 Jacket potato with roasted vegetables = excellent 🌟 👩🍳 Staff could use better training to handle busy times efficiently. Stopped by this bakery in Tintagel just before visiting the castle, and it was the perfect choice for a quick and delicious bite. The shop offers a great variety of - including traditional, cheese, and vegetarian options. My partner went for the classic Cornish and really enjoyed it, while I had the cheese and potato pasty, which was freshly made, warm, and very tasty. The were nice and big, definitely filling enough to keep us going for our walk around Tintagel Castle. In addition to the pasties, there’s also a nice selection of pastries. I had a Portuguese custard tart that was very creamy and crisp, and my partner went for an apple pastry which he liked. Service was quick and friendly, even with a steady stream of customers. A great little spot for a traditional Cornish snack. As others have said, the Lamb and Mint was mostly onion (and potato, and peas). The pastry was nice though. And while very large, the disappointing filling was not worth £9. I can’t vouch for the other pasties, maybe they’re better? Thank you for the outstanding Cornish pasties, cheese scones and scones which were delightful. The friendly and welcoming service from your staff made a visit to the store a real pleasure! Lovely calm cafe. Was very impressed with the vegan - full of flavour and the pastry was a great texture, not at all dry. Oat milk was available for hot drinks. There were a couple of vegan cake options on the counter and the plain/fruit scones were labelled vegan, with dairy-free cream available - sadly no room for a sweet treat after my pasty! It did seem to be a bit luck of the draw as to whether a table was available or people were turned away - I'm glad we were lucky. We wanted to try traditional Cornish on our visit to Tintagel on 21st of August. Unfortunately it was mainly potatoes, was dry and tasteless. No flavour whatsoever... Really do not recommend... Service was quite 'dry' too... I don't do a lot of negative reviews, but these were the worst value for money we have ever had. No steak in the steak Pasty, just the odd bit of mince hidden amongst cheap potato and swede bulk filling. 4 pasties, 3 teas and a coffee for £40 !! To the owner.
