It's magical with all the butterfly's flying round...so many species and colours 😍 There are not enough stars available to properly state just how magical a place Guy's Butterfly House is. What an absolutely joy-filled experience. We didn't book in advance, but that was not a problem. Technically, we're talking about a very large poly-tunnel in a countryside setting. What is in that structure is a veritable wonderland of beauty. You soon forget about the heat when you are surrounded by free-flying exotic butterflies of many varieties. In the surrounding foliage, you can see the entire life cycle of these magnificent insects unfolding before you. From females laying the eggs, to newly hatched caterpillars, to caterpillars hungrily munching on the plants of their choice, to chrysalises hanging from leaves and twigs, to newly emerged final form magnificence. "Guy" is on-hand to point out the fine detail and answer questions with a genuine passion and an absolute wealth of knowledge on the topic of lepidoptery. This is a must-see location and a must-have experience. A delight for adults and children of all ages. I urge you all to make the trip and see it for yourselves. Great place to visit for 30 minutes. It's warm and humid inside the large poly tunnel. I will definitely be coming back Visted today by myself and it was a wonderful experience, nice and quiet during the mornings but Guy was lovely, even though it's a small area it's 10x better than other butterfly farms I have visited due to how friendly and playful these butterflies are. Will definitely come down again! I turned up without booking and Guy was amazing and let me in before he was set up. The place isn’t big but I could spend all day there. So many butterfly’s all around and landing all over the place and me. Guy is incredibly knowledgeable and happy to show you around too.
