Rosehill Lodges

Truro, United Kingdom Self-catering accommodation

One of the Best Places To Visits in Porthtowan Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. Absolutely lovely lodges, well equipped and in a beautiful location. We stayed in Red Fox, having recently been refurbished to an exceptionally high standard... it really was like a home from home. Its hard to believe they're not brand new, and an absolute credit to the team. Really impressed by the quality of the equipment. With a hot tub and sauna all secluded away in privacy from other lodges this place really is unique from anywhere similar I have stayed in the past. Outdoor shower is a fantastic idea, and really convenient if you're using the sauna too. Grass roof seems to give the accommodation a really consistent inside temperature - we had some pretty hot and cooler days over our stay but the lodge was always a comfortable environment. 10 minute to an absolute beauty of a beach, lovely scenic footpaths and easy links to the main road makes this a really convenient base to explore Cornwall from by car or on foot. Plenty of parking for guests and its really close to the accommodation. The bit we stayed in was very hilly to drive into, but the 15 metre from the car to the cabin was relatively easy. The only issue we had was with the televisions, neither of which had no signal from the antenna. There is a connection, it just didnt work. The on-site team did try to assist on our day of arrival with this, but were unable to resolve the problem instead suggesting we use the WiFi to log into Netflix, amazon etc. This isn't possible - the age of the television only allows access to BBC. Netflix and itv aren't supported. Hey - it meant our family were talking to each other rather than watching telly on an evening. Silver lining and all that 😀 Lovely little hide away surrounded by nature. Our cottage had a jacuzzi and sauna which got plenty of use. Close to Porthtowan beach and town which have plenty of activities and food options. We drive an EV, while no charging onsite we found lots of rapid charging options close by so never had range anxiety. The lodges were great, we visited in the October half term, felt really cosy and shelter amongst the woodland, hidden away from neighbouring lodges. The hot tub was under a shelter so we could use it when it rained, the sauna was so easy to turn on and was a great addition our stay. We've visited porthtowan a few times and always wanted to stay close and this was ideal. A short to the beach.out door shower to wash off. Highly recommend Absolutely amazing fresh & clean beds are a dream towels so fluffy - hot tub + your own sauna in the garden - just a short to a lovely beach. Four Owls at Rosehill Lodges is a brilliant cottage that is so well equipped & has excellent branded appliances; Neff & Miele and has a very effective heating & hot water system. We ordered a supermarket delivery for the first day which was very helpful. It’s a 10-15 min to the beach & there is a public footpath across the main road so it’s easy enough with the dog - to avoid part of the main road, through the lodges on the right side as you approach the site exit. It is handy having the garden area for the dog & they have cordoned off one section with a picket fence which would be helpful for small dogs & young children. The house is positioned up a steep slope & as it rained most of the week we were there, the slope was slippery - Something to be mindful of when booking. It is such a peaceful location which makes for a relaxing getaway. The house has plenty of space but it has a narrow staircase & some very low ceilings so is again something to take into account when booking. Some of the ceiling corners had pads stuck to them which helped but some had fallen off so there were a few whacks to the head over the week! We did call the office while we were there to ask a couple of minor queries but didn’t get a reply & there was never anyone in the office whenever we walked down. It wasn’t urgent so it didn’t matter but might have been an issue if it was. All in all we had a wonderful stay & would highly recommend this cottage to those without accessible needs.
