Great little cove with a great history, Prussia Cove is known for the 18th-century ship-wrecker and smuggler John Carter (born 1738), also known as the 'King of Prussia' thought to be from a childhood game he played and the origin of the name for the area. Evidence of smuggling can be inferred by the building of the terrace of seven listed cottages overlooking Coule's Cove and Mount's Bay. They were built in 1826 by the Coastguard and are known as Coastguard Cottages. Views from the coast path on warm but breezy day. Many years since we were last here Great place to stop in the cove. You can walk down to the beach and have a swim or paddle. Lovely views a good 25 minute walk from Praa Sands. Very pretty little cove off that is only slightly off the beaten track but very peaceful. 5 mins off the A394 with free parking and great views across towards Gunwalloe and The Lizard. The intriguing old Manor is in quite the setting. Well worth stopping off to visit. A hidden cove to which you follow the Greek path! Bushes forming a tunnel, stone walls and a wonderful view of the magnificent ocean! Always have a Sunday morning walk here with the dogs down round Bessy's Cove to Prussia Cove and up.part way along the coastal path before heading back for breakfast. Bit cloudy today 12/8/18 Beautiful place, bit choppy but the family had a great time. Mostly pebbles with some sand for some sandcastles!! 😁 Gorgeous little beach with plenty of rock pools at low tide. A ten minute walk from the free car park (which can get busy!). Beautiful secluded cove perfect for dogs and a swim. Dog friendly! Free parking. Lovely...
