This week they opened a large Halle with a range of wonderful choices for food and drink, in addition to excellent pastries. You can stop and eat in air conditioned comfort and get a beer too. Staff all lovely. Highly recommended. Would rate 3 stars if it had no awards. The presentation and atmosphere is there but the products taste is bland. Viennoiseries are marginally better than supermarket bought. Wonderful artisan bakery, but so much more too. Fabulous patisserie, pastries, homemade chocolates and occasion cakes too. Very highly recommend. There are English speaking staff who go out of their way to help you. Everything is prepared with love, care and attention. Worth a detour and we’ll certainly be back on our next trip to the area. The macarons are a particular favourite of my daughter and you won’t find a better chocolatine anywhere according to my son! Wow! This bakery is like Willy Wonka’s for cakes. The staff are really friendly and helpful and the choice and quality of the products is simply outstanding. It’s easy to tell the bakers have a passion for making the best they can and the same care and attention to detail is be taken for the ingredients as, amazingly, everything tastes as good as it looks. The bread, cakes and other treats, it’s a foodies paradise and a must visit destination for us every time we are in the Bordeaux area. My only regret is that we aren’t able to visit more often.
