Another amazing Sunday lunch veg options and the most excellent thick slices of meat. Only thing we could pick at would be a preference for thicker gravy so while i gave it a 5 star it would be more 4.5 for me personally given the gravy however as it a personal choice and they were packed to the roof its got to be another 5stars with no other complaints to be had. Lets not forget the staff who were with us. (Sunday lunch); atmosphere. For those over 6 foot watch your head on the beams! This is the second time of dining at the Norway Inn for Sunday carvery. Staff were polite and helpful. The was delicious a very selection of seasonal vegetables all cooked with flavor and fresh. The meat was tender and plenty of it and again delicious. We would highly recommend the not eaten hear on other days. We highly recommend an enjoyable dining experience at this pub restaurant. My husband booked us a night away at Norway Inn for our anniversary. The room was very lovely, the bed was incredibly comfortable and it was all clean and spacious. It felt much more luxury than I expected. We had dinner in the pub and the food and service was incredible! There was a bit of a wait for food but there was a large table who ordered before us so I didn't mind. My husband had the Norway burger and I had the macaroni cheese (pictured), it was so cheesy and delicious. The crumble which we shared for dessert was the real winner, it was so good! I had a hot chocolate too, made by our lovely waitress, which was such a hot chocolate. We had a sleep (no road noise at all) and had breakfast the next morning, which again was delicious. I had pancakes and my husband had a fry up. Again the service was great. We definitely want to come back, I want to eat my way through the rest of the menu! Such a convenient place to stay as well with transport connections to the rest of Cornwall. Lovely pub with lots of character. Food was delicious, cooked well and with minimal waiting time. I had the fish and chips which was £19, fish was but I was disappointed with the portion size for the chips and mushy peas for the price I paid. Ceilings slightly low around the bar area but higher elsewhere. Staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed an evening meal with Dutch friends. Staff were attentive without being pushy, quick to respond and friendly. One of our party has trained under a top London chef. She chose the last lobster available and was impressed with her meal. The fish and chip Friday menu was value and the cornish ale pie very tasty. Desserts were refreshingly light and simple, the perfect way to complete a meal.Wish the Norway Inn and its staff were closer to home! Very reasonably priced and tasty carvery, will go back. We recently had the pleasure of visiting The Norway Inn, and it truly exceeded all expectations. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and exactly what you hope for in a traditional Cornish pub and dining experience. The food was outstanding—perfectly cooked, generous portions, and clearly made with high-quality, local ingredients. But what truly set this visit apart was the exceptional service we received from the staff, particularly Alex and Leah. Alex and Leah were absolutely brilliant. They were incredibly attentive, ensuring our drinks were topped up and our meals arrived promptly, all while maintaining a wonderfully friendly and easygoing disposition. Their genuine smiles and quick wit made us feel like cherished regulars, even though it was our first time there. We specifically want to compliment them for their professional and friendly service. They are true assets to the Inn, making the whole dining experience delightful. If you are anywhere near Perranarworthal, do yourself a favor and stop in. food, gorgeous setting, and world-class service, thanks in large part to the fantastic team, including Alex and Leah! We can't wait to return.
