What a wonderful place. Fantastic to see all these beautiful animals getting the treatment they deserve. Free to enter, they do have contribution boxes, but absolutely no pressure. We left money, because you can't help admire the work this sanctuary do. Fantastic place to near Falmouth. So many rescue here in barns or out enjoying the sun in the paddocks. They are off all ages from ten days old to 60+ years of ago. We called in to Lidl on the way and picked up three bags of carrots to donate. 😀 place, the care for, attention to and enthusiasm for is unrivalled. setting, people, great facilities, and well worth not only visiting but supporting. We stumbled across Flicka accidentally whilst looking for dog-friendly things to do in the area, we were actually on our way to the seal sanctuary so this was the start of a great day! Couldn't believe Flicka foundation has no entry free and runs on donations alone! The are well cared for and the were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, our dog even had a time interacting with some of the more interested donkeys. We also got to see a 5 day old foal. It was a delight to and we left purchasing gifts from the shop and giving a donation also. Fantastic place to , full of friendly and horses , who look forward to visitors petting them , very well looked after , no entry cost , all they ask for is a donation , give it a and donate to this fantastic charity doing such great work , on site cafe for food and drinks as well. place, and the are well looked after. The are and the tutorial about the is well spoken from the member of staff. I will definitely go again. Cafe is clean and lovely, just a bit disappointed that there was only vegan milk as it doesn't suit me so couldn't have a coffee! These have had such a hard life and now they're here they are loved and cared for. I can't explain why but whenever we come here it is peaceful and it relaxes you. The coffee and cake is also fantastic in the cafe. Please support this wonderful charity. What an incredible place, with such an amazing story! AND ITS FREE!!! Well worth an afternoon, seeing the many different varieties of Donkey there were, and hearing the passion everyone working there had for the and making sure they lived their best life. Was really nice to see the pony's too. Can't wait to come back and see what has changed Quite a small Donkey Sanctuary compared to others we've visited but a well maintained site and were very knowledgeable. The Flicka Foundation is a fabulous sanctuary for donkeys, many of whom have such sad stories to tell before they found refuge at Flicka. The (ponies and Shetland ponies) are all lovingly cared for and are adored by the amazing staff. It’s a wonderful place to visit, such a good cause and every donation really does count. My husband recently adopted a donkey for me for my birthday so now we have a reason (not that we really needed one!) to regularly. The Flicka Foundation is a very special place and should be supported wholeheartedly!
