We stayed here out of school holidays for 5 nights at £365 for a 8 sleep cabin including the fishing pass. If we'd have gone one week later it would have been £1.3k. Single beds were more like half beds, and the double was more like a large single. Hugely over exaggerated. Dents in the fridge from previous occupants, couches have zero comfort or support, signage could be better in terms of giving better directions. Gym was in terms of equipment but opening times were abysmal. Fishing was my main reason for going and safe to say I was expecting the premier fishery its led to be known as. As a balif and match angler for 30+ years I know what I'm looking at when it comes to fisheries. The pegs were well maintained along with the margins, banks and islands. My huge gripe was the amount of decaying fish that were on the banks, there were all varied amounts of decaying and were there the entire week. You read about these huge numbers coming out in matches there, but they were not there, biggest win was just over 110lb. Staff in the tackle shop were helpful and were a pleasure to speak with. Don't expect much phone signal there on any network. "Good" if you just want to get your head down and spend your entire off site, other than that I could have saved 12 hours of driving and £365 by going to my local (Monks Fishery) for the week and had a better time. Not a bad site, amenities and stuff for the kids. But if you get caravan 30 & would also like to get some kip in the night, give them the keys back and drive home.🏡 The noise from the clubhouse is unbelievable up until 11pm. And we did ask if anything could be done as it was waking our baby, only to be met with “you can pay £500 quid and move”, which wasn’t an option for us. It’s a shame as it’s put a dampener on a really holiday. Back on in June so fingers crossed we can’t hear it from that caravan. Lovely campsite. Beautiful fishing lakes. Some fantastic to look out for. Sophie and Jason from the entertainment team! These two were just amazing and super friendly. Then their is Ronnie from the arcade area. That man is a true gem! He was so caring, getting chairs so my 2 year old could reach the machines. Along with lots of other little things. We came to white acres on last week 19 th may ,the was lovely and the lodge needed tlc on the out side but inside was ok ,our massive disappointment was not dog enough ,we booked as it says dog ,but on our arrival went straight to the to have a lovely walk around the 184 acres and 11 as described on booking ,noticed a lot of fisherman all on the taking over the foot paths with all their rods and equipment, understand the fisherman fishing as this is what we wanted to do ,but we also want to walk our dog on a lead as we always do when on a ,we walk a little way to the meet up with a sign post , clearly stating no dogs near the between 10 and and 4 pm ,went to see reception as now very unhappy ,as the purpose was the walks and to go around the and to fish when booking our , receptionist was totally unhelpful,I asked to tell us where on line and bookings it says about dogs ,there was no mention at all when she looked on line ,my husband then said well then we will walk our dog around the walks on the as it wasn't mentioned when booking ,she said she wasn't going to allow us to do this due to health and safety really?? what about small children near the walk ways enjoying them self's,but the fisherman's rods lay across the walkways that's healthy and safety,,,, we had to contact hoseasons our self's to either get our money back and go back home or a transfer ,after two hours of phoning we adventually got a transfer hoseasons totally agreed we were missold a and gave us the transfer to Trelay hideaway polperro, absolutely dog and a stunning place couldn't of done any more for us ,,,so what I'm saying if you have a dog then don't go to white acres it is solely supped up for the fisherman ,a shame ,WHITE ACRES you need to advertise about the NO WALKING A DOG around the between 10am and 4 pm on the booking sites so makers know when booking ,not fair when people are traveling long hours in journeys and arrive to all the hassle we had , so glad hoseasons were very helpful !! Had an amazing at white acres, what a lovely park. The park is in a beautiful setting, our caravan was first class and a Had a lovely decking area with stunning views across the valley. The park facilities were excellent, and all the were very friendly. The sports bar was very good,5 big screens to watch your favourite sports on.We had such a time, we didn't want to go home. Amazing site, couldn't fault it at all. Amazing facilities with everything you could possibly need. Shop was very stocked with everything, super and helpful. They even dropped my partners phone to caravan when she had lost it on site. Very safe, clean place to stay. Children loved the free soft play and pool as well as the play areas. The golf was great and all the clubhouse activities and entertainment. Family of 7 who didn't want to leave. Will definitely be back. Caravan was beautiful with Amazing view. Food in restaurant was really too. Thank you for an amazing stay. This is my third year in a row coming to this park, and to be honest it feels like it's gone a bit down since the first I came. The rooms: I can't speak much for rooms other than fistral lodge which is just stunning, honestly the nicest place I've ever stayed. Mild confusion on getting tvs connected to WiFi, and in general the WiFi just being crap and no choice but to pay. The lodges were in excellent condition and clean. Reception immediately responding to any issues we have such as missing hairdryer. I have heard bad things about some of the older lodges being run down however and a bit worse for wear. Entertainment: Such a letdown after being here twice before. Entertainment was just shocking this year. So little on and what was on was practically the same as the last few nights. Whilst there was some standouts such as Trouper Rosie who has an amazing voice and did an amazing live act, the rest was disappointing. Acts changed at last minute, and then an "interactive farmyard racing" which was just videos of horse racing and dog racing from the late 90s/early 2000s and in one of the videos one of the horses fell which is just disgusting. All whilst kids go up and write down what number horse they think will win! It's honestly just awful. Another disappointment was seeing that from what I can see Madness and Mayhem was replaced with the "holiday happy gameshow" which just does not tick all the boxes that Madness and Mayhem did, just one of the standing up at the top of the stage. Just not as fun. The on-site arcade is super fun, especially the there who are some of the nicest people ever and will always "accidentally" knock a toy out for the little ones which is outstanding service. Food: Disappointed on arrival to see that the fish and chips shop was closed for the week of our stay, no prior warning and is such a let down considering it's food for a reasonable price. The on pizza box was either shut the whole or had barely anything with everything being out for stock, and the restaurant insanely overpriced with small portions *mostly the chips*. So for this stay I avoided eating on site, from previous years though food was but pricey. Drinks at the bar were also insane, a lemonade and lime costing over £4! which is just ridiculous, safe to say after my first night I bought my own drinks. Summary: I will most likely come again, however I just hope they sort the entertainment out as it's got worse every year, I can't blame the on who are outstanding and are some of the kindest people I know.
